"Visited this pub on Sunday the 2nd of may and what a fantastic atmosphere and time we had. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. It is a very relaxed pub and the locals were very chatty as well. The staff couldn’t of done more...for us. Wendy the owner is a wonderful lady and makes the best cocktails aswell! The food was brilliant, made with love and was stuffed afterwards. When we visit again we will be definitely coming back here. Overall price was ridiculously cheap for the amount of alcohol we consumed. All round I would highly recommend this pub for great service, friendly atmosphere, amazing food and just a lovely times."

We were just staying in the area for the week, but it Sounds like the long-standing manager has bought the pub from the new brewery and is making a real go at it improving the pub. Food homely with fresh vegetables. Give them...a try it might be worth it!

To be honest we were a little put off by the outside appearance of the pub but having read a good review on Trip Advisor booked a table anyway. Thank goodness we did. We were given a nice table with our dog. The service was...excellent; such a lovely girl. My husband had slow cooked beef and I had belly pork. Both meals came with a choice of potatoes and vegetables. So delicious; easily the best meal of our trip to South Wales! And very good value!!

Nice evening meal for a family of 4 with 2 kids plus dog. We were a bit doubtful as our holiday accom hosts said that some recent previous guests weren’t overly impressed and they suggested another local place instead. We ended up trying both and...preferred this one! Beef curry and slow roast lamb both a hit, as were the kids’ burgers, albeit with slightly excessive portions of chips. There was a nice comfy seating area near our table that looked inviting, although I think the coffee area could do with a facelift.

that was the best meal of our four nights break on the gower and we ate somewhere else every night. the food was prepared for a high standard. we recommend the slowly cooked lamb or bark dishes, which were well garnished. I rarely get through. three courses, but my wife helped me with the cheesecake! the final bill represented a good value and we would certainly recommend this place to people who visit the opposite. a traditional pub and restaurant, popular with locals. it was billard evening in the bar in the night in which we dimmed here, but we were well served in the restaurant.

"I have been wanting to visit here for ages but the stars have never aligned until Saturday. We were extremely lucky to get a walk in for the two of us. We were greeted by the owner and shown to a table. As we didn't have any drinks with us Peter suggested Tesco a few doors down and I was able to grab a bottle to enjoy with the meal. The service was wonderful and friendly and it felt like we had been going there for years, with just the right amount of care and advice. The food was exceptional from start to finish. We had the chicken satay and spring rolls to start and they were beautiful. The satay was amazing and was much darker in colour than any I have had before, but much better in flavour than any I have had before, I would definitely have these again. For main I had a chicken rendang and my wife ordered gule monkfish. The rendang was again perfect for my tastes. Spicy but flavourful with a generous portion that would satisfy the majority of eaters. I would have had seconds, even though I was stuffed because it was so good. I can't comment too much on the monkfish as I have a dislike of seafood, but my wife raved about it and said she's having the same again next time without question. So I think that sums it up. We finished with deserts of a rice pudding dish I think was called bubar, which was black rice and coconut, and the second dish we ordered was a Banana coconut pancake to which I forget the name. Again I couldn't find fault if I tried another 10 out of 10. At the end of the meal we met owner and chef Ami, who came to chat. It was lovely speaking to the owners and their passion for the food and customer service was clear. We cannot wait until our next visit"
