"Called the pub to ask if we could use TasteCard. They said yes and that their kitchen would take last orders by 2:30pm (Saturday). We got there just after 2:30pm and were happy to hear that we could order. I really recommend the cod and chips. Really big, fresh piece of cod in a light, crispy batter. Freshly cooked chips and bright peas. I hear the steak and ale pie is delicious and comes with well cooked vegetables. No room for pudding but they looked good. Highly recommended for the food. The pub itself can use a refit to bring it into modern times. Small changes can see big improvements."

Just tried the takeaway Sunday roast and we were very pleased, huge portions and the most important part, the roasties were amazing! Roast chicken and roast lamb with home made Jam roly poly for dessert. We will be back ??

The pub is under new management and we popped in today for Sunday dinner with the boys. Lovely Roast beef, all the trimmings! Boys both had traditional pie and mash that got massive thumbs up! Was toasty warm In there with the double log fire too.. Will deffo be back.
