"My elderly mum and I enjoyed a delicious sirloin steak by the roaring fire. The steak was cooked to perfection and came with delicious mushrooms and tomatoes. I had fat chips and mum had sautéed potatoes. I think I’ll go for the sautéed potatoes next time. We were very well looked after by Chloe and Kuda and look forward to returning very soon."

Nice little pub in Rickmansworth, serving good food. Service a little slow, but generally fine. Would be nice to see a greater selection of real ales on hand pump, but appreciate this may not be to the taste of the normal clientele. "My sister (45) and I (44) visited a restaurant today to celebrate the birthdays of my mum (72) and my godmother (71) after hearing good things about their afternoon tea. I have to say, we were not disappointed. The whole experience was delightful. We were warmly greeted by Linda and shown to our table. They offered a great selection of teas and the food was absolutely delicious. We appreciated the simplicity of the sandwiches and pastries, which were tasty and familiar. The sandwiches included cream cheese and cucumber, ham with Dijon mustard, and egg mayo. The scones were light and fluffy, while the cakes, including Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie, and red velvet, were all delicious. The waitstaff, including Lily, Harry, and Linda, were attentive and accommodating. As a special surprise, they brought out individual cupcakes with candles and sang happy birthday to the ladies, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend having afternoon tea at this restaurant. It is well worth the money and provides a great experience."

I think I mentioned that none of the six of us had had Xmas Day Lunch out before across combined ages of nearly 350 years! We chose you to celebrate with you as we have always been delighted with the food, ambience and team when we have eaten with you. Christmas Day was no exception … everything was perfect. We loved the food, the atmosphere, service was excellent and not rushed and everyone was delighted with their choices. "Es sieht so aus, als hätte der Pub neue Besitzer, da es viel ruhiger war als damals, als wir dort waren. Die Starter brauchten ein Alter, um anzukommen, aber als sie es taten, waren sie gut. Die Hauptmahlzeit war enttäuschend, mit dem Rindfleisch auf zwei der vier Mahlzeiten hart und unterkocht. Der Manager erklärte, dass sie einen neuen Koch hatten und reduzierte die Getränkekosten, entfernte die Kosten für eine Flasche Wein und einige der Biere und entfernte eines der Hauptgerichte von der Rechnung. Insgesamt eine enttäuschende Erfahrung, da wir das hohe Niveau an Essen und Ambiente erwartet hatten"

"should have made many reviews before this for zara! I and my family have come here for 6 years. in this time we never had a bad experience or a bad meal. the resistance to quality is incredible, never had a bad meal, ever! we came back from sorrento in 2019 after fresh kalamari over there, on the day after our return we went to zaza and I ordered the kalamari (which I always get) and it were hives better than those I had in sorrento. really not to blame, this place, the service is always brilliant, always timely and friendly and always on special occasions for us!"
