"We visited as a family. Waitress corrected partner on how to say Bruschetta, which she pronounced 'brush etta '. Pet peeve. They have an under 12s menu, that might be better for under 5s. Daughter asked for Mac n cheese, which was about 20 pieces of pasta not macaroni, but we 're not picky. The cheese sauce had split, which we pointed out and were told that 's just how it comes after it 's been in the oven without anything crunchy in sight it had clearly been microwaved. Everything else was just about edible. Patatas bravas had been reduced to something very red coating the potatoes. Waffle dessert was the best part of the meal. After our first complaints resulted in very frosty customer service we didn 't feel we could say anything else so paid the bill and left. Luckily we don 't live locally so this won 't be somewhere we need to visit again."

"The service at this restaurant was satisfactory, but they were slow to bring drinks out. The price of the tea was a bit high, and it was not mentioned on the website that alternative afternoon teas were available if booked in advance. It was disappointing to show up expecting the standard menu. Additionally, there was a mistake in the postcode on the confirmation email, which led us to end up 4 miles away from the actual venue."

"My recent visit to The Walnut Tree in Aldington left me with mixed feelings. I was initially disappointed to learn that the restaurant was under new management and the Sunday roast no longer offered a choice of meats. Instead, the price was based on the number of courses. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the roast, which consisted of two slices of gammon and a couple of slices of roast beef for those who chose that option. The roast potatoes and carrots were cooked to perfection, but the cheesy broccoli was a bit too hard for my liking. Unfortunately, the menu lacked allergy information and did not specify that the broccoli was cheesy. The portion of sticky toffee pudding was decent, but I found it lacking in sticky sauce. The apple crumble, on the other hand, was quite small in comparison. Despite these minor disappointments, the standout feature of my visit was the lovely service provided by the wait staff. In conclusion, The Walnut Tree in Aldington offers a nice roast and pleasant service, but there are some improvements that could be made to the menu and portion sizes. Overall, I would still recommend it for a Sunday roast or a casual dining experience."

"Went here last night, got informed there was no liver or chilli before we ordered, we ordered 3 fillets steaks and fish and chips for mains I had mushrooms to start, waited over 30 minutes for starters, table opposite us got theirs before I got mine they despite them coming in 20 minutes after. Mushrooms were delicious. Got told no steaks, so we ordered another 2 fish and chips and a burger. 2 fish were fine my batter was really soggy on the bottom, the burger was really dry and bland like it was pre cooked and reheated. Table service was fine, but for me a big foodie, the food was not up to it, great pub with a good atmosphere, the food just lets it down. Needless to say I will not be going back for a meal there again. This is the 2nd time I've gone for a meal there to which they didn't have things on the menu that I wanted. Shame, such a nice place too. Parking: Ample parking for about 20 cars if people park correctly, so space on the road with no yellow lines Kid-friendliness: Outside garden for kids in the summertime"

"Lunch was delicious but dessert was disappointing. Customer service from the ladies that served us was fab, very attentive and no rushed. King prawns on sourdough was delicious . Cheese and pickle baguette was generous too! One star down for poor dessert- American pancakes are small flat shop bought (only get 3) and 4 slices of banana was disappointing. Ice-cream was cheap and with simple ice-cream only down the road they should invest! Waffle was huge but not warm as stated on the menu and again topped with cheap icecream. Generous amount of sauce! Customer service from bar lady and our waitress in the restaurant was 5 star all round! Would happily return!"
