A pub full of character, set in an idyllic location with wonderful staff serving excellent food and crafted beer brewed on the premises, a great spot for lunch or dinner!

The restaurant offers excellent beer and delicious food. It may be a little out of the way, but it is definitely worth the visit. They have a nice selection of dishes at affordable prices.

Have now been here several times and never been disappointed. The roast pork is the best I’ve had every time, service is excellent and value is second to none. Blessed to have this place locally. Well done to Simon and the team.

Lunchtime Friday visit, not booked but went at 12:00 as there are always a number of unreserved tables success!. Nice set of menu choices, I went with the Fillet Steak which was cooked perfectly medium rare, J went with the Chicken and Chorizo casserole...

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I tried to make a reservation two weeks in advance for my birthday meal with my family, but both the website and staff said the reserved tables were booked. They assured me that they always keep spare tables available, so there shouldn't be a problem. However, when we arrived on the day with my two small kids and elderly mother, we were turned away because the restaurant was already full and all tables were taken. This was extremely disappointing as if they had told me they were fully booked, I would have made a reservation elsewhere and avoided being so let down.

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch at the barn restaurant and were impressed by the lovely setting. The menu offered a difficult choice as everything sounded great, but we were not disappointed. The presentation of the dishes was very good, the quality was excellent, and the portions were generous. We were too full for dessert, despite wanting to try it. The highlight of the experience was the delicious house wine. The value for money was a big surprise and we will definitely return. We appreciated that there was no rush to move us from the table as we caught up with friends over coffee for a long time. Overall, a great find.

We called in at 12.30 on the off-chance. The car park was packed so we expected to be turned away but were lucky to get the last table for two. The Pots deserves to be, and is, very busy as the food and drink is all such good value: starters about £7.00, mains £10-16, half of porter £1.95, a large glass of Tempranillo £6.00. Quite amazing these days! We both chose the venison burgers which were absolutely first rate, accompanied by lovely coleslaw and crispy chips. I was tempted by literally everything on the menu, even the veggie options. The young members of staff were all welcoming, friendly, efficient and enthusiastic.
