Went for The Silver Surfers Lunch today. My little terrier was also welcomed in....result! Good home cooked food for main and beautiful choices of dessert. Highly recommend.

Great pub. Really impressed. I had an exceptional fish and chips. I’d visited a few years ago and it wasn’t great but the new managers have obviously done a highly successful turnaround. Recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Friendly service and good food. Fish and chips was lovely and crispy with really good homemade chips. Chocolate torte was delicious and beautifully presented. Will be back to try other dishes that we saw other visitors enjoying

We had dinner here on a Thursday night, for their date/mate night. There was also a pub quiz that seemed like fun but we did not participate it. Lovely pub, the food was a little bit of a letdown though, was a bit under seasoned. But the staff were all lovely

Four of us visited during September. Two fish and chips, one steak and one nut loaf Presentation was good but the food was a little bland. The nut loaf was said to be largely tasteless. The fish and chips were ok but the fish seemed floppy and “wet” inside the crispy batter. The coffee offered was instant coffee. We declined this. The venue is fine with good car parking Ok but there is plenty of room for improvement.

my wonderful friendly place where I can only get a pint or a meal, depending on my choice. sarah scott has turned the place around to become the central village focal point. eating is excellent and good with some evenings that offer half price meals. the staff is very friendly and welcome. a nice, friendly and welcome country pub, which is well enjoyed and visited both in the village and from other surrounding villages.

a pleasant country pub with a good selection of foods to acceptable trips. on the back there is a parking space and a garden with seating in the open. two things left an otherwise good experience. the exterior were grubby and in the necessity to grind and retreat with wood preservatives. the meal was good, but the green sweet part was quite common. healthy eating requires that vegetables should be an essential part of a meal, not a garnish.
