The George - Speisekarte

I myself and my partner had the vegan curry, it was a small part, and could say it was a frozen meal. It was okay, not great. dessert had no vegan options.

The food was really delicious. We had burgers and our son had a kids meal. The staff were really friendly and the facilities are wonderful a great play park and goats that the kids can feed. Just a perfect place to go with the family.

the two vegan options on the menu that we tried seemed to be directly from the freezer. there are no vegan desserts or child dishes and after the request the bar staff were cured and departed. this pub should not really be on happy cow.

Really friendly welcoming pub. The real ales were very good. We had Otter bitter and Otter ale. There also was Tribute, one of our favourites, but the Otter bitter won the day! We didn’t have a meal, but people that did were very satisfied.

Food was disappointing. We ordered gammon steak and when it arrived it was so thin, more like a piece of bacon. No honey could be tasted. Very noisy when large groups moved chairs around tables. The prices were above average for the food quality.

So I went there and asked separately cooked, his on the same grill as meat sorry for all vegans that this happy eat I asked before they said they scratched their before not clean scraped luck getting meat juice and parts meat fat completely with a light scraped inaccessible really should know better

What a lovely down to earth pub . Staff friendly couldn’t do enough for you despite what other reviews state , just goes to show don’t believe everything you read . Food was off the lunch time menu and was very nice , i had sausage and onion sarnie which came with chips and my partner had a chicken wrap , both lovely . we sat in the garden as it was so sunny. plenty of seating inside and out . on some evenings they even have music there . we will definatly return. thank you very much .

We decided to go for a meal on the Saturday and food started at 5.30 and we were told that the kitchen opened at that time but we were served about 5.40 which was great as we were hungry The atmosphere was lovely friendly staff The only thing it’s expensive for what you get I had the veg tart and salad which consisted of salad leaves and more salad leaves some tomatoes and cucumbers Not worth the money so I order chips £4 My husband had scampi but didn’t taste like fresh scampi might have been shop brought or frozen Wouldn’t go again but busy pub

We are visiting Charmouth for a week and visited The George on our first day as it was the closest pub to our camp site. The food was lovely and the staff were helpful with some changes to the kids meals. The experience is really made by the excellent service of the staff. My 12 year old autistic son chatted with a member of staff about rocks and she was extremely kind, patient, inclusive with her approach. My son was keen to return again before the end of the holiday and gave the staff member a rock. The member of staff remembered him and gave him a warm welcome once again. Would highly recommend for a lovely family experience, with quality food and staff who are absolutely getting inclusiv...
