The food is always freshly cooked to order at The George. The chicken and beef burger we opted for were excellent. I really like the home-made coleslaw. This was a return visit. I've eaten several times at The George and really rate the food, the atmosphere and the welcome. The portions are generous and the quality and freshness are top drawer, which is why I keep coming back. The service occasionally falls down slightly, but in an amusing way and I guess the girls' age and experience of life will put that right in time. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Speisekarte ansehen

Amazing Sunday roast! Came here today with my mum who is local to the area and I’m so impressed! All the staff were lovely and accommodating as soon as you walk in the door and throughout our visit. We both had the Sunday roast, one ham one beef and oh wow was it good! You get a huge portion size and the food quality is 10/10. Found this beautiful pub/restaurant by accident about 2 years ago while out walking our dogs.Booked a table today 16/06/2024 for Sunday lunch booking recommended) we both had the pork it was so so nice n tender we struggled with desert chocolate brownies) mmmm. We would highly recommend this hidden little gem it’s absolutely beautiful the beer garden is enclosed so very dog friendly beer garden has table tennis, swing ball etc.staff owners very welcoming I’m gonna say. I guarantee you will have a great time.

What an absolutely wonderful pub. We were looking for a dog friendly pub and stumbled across this place. We were welcomed with friendly faces from customers and staff. With dogs all around all doing their own thing. It was just so homely. The food was stand out! As veggies we find it hard to find pubs that do more than just one dish. The menu was filled with delicious delights. The feta parcel, corn ribs were so delicious. And as for the sticky toffee pud, well that was moreish beyond! Our dog Merlin was well looked after with water and treats and scratches. We will be back to try more meals and enjoy that wonderful atmosphere once more. Thank you!
