This is a beautiful traditional pub with an excellent selection of real ales. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is also a lot of interesting D-Day history to explore.

I’ve been looking forward to my first meal since I locked it out. The restaurant was pristine! We sat in a spacious marquee away from other diners. The food was delicious, and it was even better since I didn’t have to prepare or clean up afterward. To my surprise, there was a jazz band playing, which was fantastic! Speisekarte ansehen

What a fantastic pub with a wonderful staff! Greg and his team made us feel welcome and took the time to chat with us, even while preparing for a large event later that evening. Greg shared fascinating stories about Generals Eisenhower and Montgomery planning D-Day in the very building where we were enjoying our fine wine. I can't wait for my next visit!

In late October 2022, we hosted a 90th birthday celebration for 20 people at this restaurant. We were able to enjoy our meal without any concerns about the service, and we will certainly be back. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely fabulous, featuring all fresh, local ingredients. The chef and his team clearly excel at their craft. Everyone in our group was delighted that we chose The Golden Lions for the occasion. We plan to make this restaurant one of our regular favorites. Many thanks to Greg, Sonny, and the entire staff for their wonderful hospitality.

such a jewel! a beautiful pub with the most incredible food. local products, super tasty and great prices. the ambiente is charming. it is ozing in history and has a beautiful mood. greg the manager is super pleasant. very friendly, friendly and obviously proud of its facility. what he should be. he knows the story and shares it openly, what is fascinating to hear and know. super dog friendly too. also great that southwick brewhouse is a stairway that would also sell large local beer, ales, wein and pearl. would come back to a heartbeat. greg and to her wonderful staff for a nice relaxed visit.
