"In late October 2022, we hosted a 90th birthday celebration for 20 people at this restaurant. We were able to enjoy our meal without any concerns about the service, and we will certainly be back. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely fabulous, featuring all fresh, local ingredients. The chef and his team clearly excel at their craft. Everyone in our group was delighted that we chose The Golden Lions for the occasion. We plan to make this restaurant one of our regular favorites. Many thanks to Greg, Sonny, and the entire staff for their wonderful hospitality."

This is a beautiful traditional pub with an excellent selection of real ales. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is also a lot of interesting D-Day history to explore.

So happy to see live music again, any other circumstances I would have been leaping! As the driver I was a bit surprised the oj and soda was nearly the price of a beer though, all in all a great night.

I've been chasing my first meal since I locked it out. the place was immaculate! we sat in the huge marquee far away from other diners. meal was delicious and even better because I didn't have to prepare or wash it. then, completely unexpected, played a jazz band. brilliant!

we had not expected that we were sitting in the marquee after we had requested the bar area in the reservation, but the friendly staff assured us that the opposite was warm (what it was) and sat next to a heating. the ales on tap were delicious (I had hip hop) and eating very well. most of us had the sunday roast and I will come back for it. there was a live jazz band that was recorded in the atmosphere. recommended event for a Sunday with lots of places close to to the great meal. dog-friendly also in the marquee.
