"We really wanted to enjoy this meal more than we did, although the staff and service were great, so friendly and attentive, the food was not as good as it could have been. Starters were excellent, but the main meals just didn’t hit the spot, the emphasis appeared to be on presentation and volume (HUGE portions) rather than quality and attention to detail. As an example, the mussels I had were either not as fresh as advertised or had been overdone as they were chewy and tasteless, many of the shells were broken which meant the sauce was gritty, and I wasn’t given a finger bowl or separate dish for the shells; I did inform the waitress that the mussels had not been good, however she did not ask for any other information or feedback for the kitchen. I had eaten less than half of them (and that was with the help of my fellow diners) but was not offered a reduction on the bill. The desserts were lovely, however. I would probably give them another try in the future, as it was not awful but if it were to be a similar experience then I would not return. Maybe we were just unlucky on this occasion."

pleasant environment in this land pub in goudhurst, kent with friendly staff my pig joint was packed with all circumcisions and good for a Sunday dinner. desserts were well presented and inexpensive. destined another visit

Pleasant atmosphere on a quiet evening shortly after Christmas. Staff very kind and appropriately attentive. All very nice except my “belly of pork” was a slice, charred on the outside and rather dry meat, which wasn't what I expected.

we had a fantastic lunch and stayed on Sunday in the absolutely beautiful hush heath suite. can't wait to go back! the staff was fabulous, the food was delicious and the room was nice with a massive bathroom in the room perfect birthday tasty made!

I ordered bass which I had ordered on a previous occasion. The portion was tiny in comparison. More skin than fish. Our main plates were left on the table for over an hour, even after we had eaten our dessert. My husband was happy with his meal, and kids dessert was good.

that was my first visit. the inn is well presented. eating was my personal favorite part of the experience and surpassed all my expectations. what this device really disassembled was the warm and accommodating staff. they really all go out to take care of their customers. the häuptlinge seem to be very well trained. no micowaved ready-made dishes here safe. I'll be back for another delicious meal. thanks for a nice afternoon. 10/10.

for a Sunday roast with my better half and our two youngest girls. we were immediately shown on our table. we had lamm and the girls had that huh. They come with groundless bratkartoffels, don't forget to ask if they want more. all meals were cooked nicely. pudding was a puddle crown with ice. the girls were late, but they didn't care how they had an extra ice cream at the top. After we finished, we decided to sit in a comfortable chair and relax and drink another drink. I can recommend the hush heath merlot. my wife asked if she could give up the log burner, and it wasn't enough for her to sort it. if it were warmer, there is a beautiful view from the terrace. good advice.
