Pleasant Nepalese restaurant but struggled to serve us swiftly on a Friday night (early) which I appreciate might be one of their busiest nights. Food wasn’t as good as it used to be there a few years ago but was perfectly nice and nothing to complain about.

The restaurant was divine in every aspect. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly and polite. There was no need for any improvements as everything was perfect. I will definitely be returning for more. I left feeling completely satisfied, like Oliver Twist. Speisekarte ansehen

We hosted a birthday party for 35 guests at our home and instead of cooking, we opted to have Great Gurkhas cater the event at a set price per person. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone in attendance loved it. They provided ample portions at a reasonable price, and it was delivered hot and ready to serve. We were truly impressed!

Great food poor restaurant experience. We visited for the Sunday set menu which is excellent value and good to experience a range of their cuisine. However, after visiting for several years the restaurant needs an overhaul. Whilst it was good to see tablecloths have returned the restaurant is stuffy and airless and we particularly found the very visible mould growing all around the main window edges very off putting and unpleasant. Think we will be sticking to their takeaways….

My Wife and I , Were in town for the Auto Italia event at Brooklands, We visited on the Friday night the food and service was SO GOOD , We went again on Saturday evening and again it was Top quality food and very friendly service, Over the two evening's we had four different curries all were top class, the keema naan was the best we have ever had in our many visits to curry house's all over the UK and aboard, thanks to all well done , keep up the good work, If we travel over from Wales to Weybridge again , we will return to your restaurant, thanks. This restaurant is our family's top choice in Weybridge. The service is exceptional, the staff is welcoming and friendly, often joking with the children and making our dining experience enjoyable. They are willing to adjust the spice level of dishes for the children upon request. On Sundays, they offer a fantastic all-you-can-eat buffet at a good price, and throughout the week they serve a wide variety of delicious Indian dishes, including salads, all at reasonable prices. They also have a great selection of drinks, including draft beer, Whispering Angel, and champagne for those looking to indulge.

Great Authentic Nepalese Food: Often one sees a restaurant claiming to be Indian when in reality either the owners or the cuisine does not deliver expectations. The Great Gurkhas is genuine family run place in quaint Weybridge and we selected on the basis of other choices available. Mr Guru who had served in Brunei welcomed us in classic Nepalese style and joined us later in conversation taking due care in meeting our specific request for spicy menu. I took up his offer to partake Gurkha beer which was nice accompaniment. We had vegetarian momo, size of which could have been bigger and paneer parcels, well presented and delicious. We ordered a takeaway from The Great Gurkhas. It use to be our takeaway of choice pre Covid and was always delightful. Unfortunately the one we order last night was not. The coconut naan bread was so stodgy, the content (a slab of congealed, desiccated coconut) fell out of it. You could tell it was not a freshly cooked, homemade naan. The basmati rice use to be sprinkled with peanuts, spring onions etc. Not any more. And the main courses were just meat in a sauce with hard diced peppers and onions. None of the delicacy that the main courses use to have. Such a disappointment. The only thing we can say is that we will not order from The Great Gurkhas again. We ate some of it because we had no...
