The Hangout - Speisekarte

We decided to call in to the Hangout on the way to Carmarthen as my partner likes to find these hidden cafes and this was one of her best she had found.

If you're in the area, you must visit this restaurant. The food, coffee, and smoothies are excellent, and the service is even better. Thank you for all of your helpful recommendations.

Admittedly it was fathers day and busy....but I was surprised by how bad the breakfast was...burnt toast, cold beans. Half a bacon rasher and hard poached eggs. It could not have been worse ..... Speisekarte ansehen

Purchased a toasted sandwich consisting of a small well overcooked sausage and an equally small rasher of bacon with raw fat. Whist appreciating that the cafe was very busy at the time this is NOT an excuse to serving poorly prepared food and charging top dollar for the privilage.

Loved the quirky and rustic decor and loved the quirkiness to the menu. We were hungry and had fabulous big breakfasts, it was great. Not quite a 5 as presentation not amazing but fabulous all the same. Cakes and Pies looked fabulous too. Easy parking on a small industrial estate.

Hidden gem on the outskirts of Llandeilo. Great choice of food for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Amazing array of cakes (best rocky road ever) and of course coffee. For any of those who have driven black mountain pass and head west of Brecon National Park it’s a great spot to stop. Even a car wash around the back. Speisekarte ansehen

We visit this restaurant frequently and always enjoy the delicious food and friendly service. Due to COVID restrictions, the offerings have been somewhat limited recently, but everything is still delicious. We highly recommend trying the smoothies and the posh fish finger sandwich. The new indoor garden area is a fantastic addition that we absolutely love.

Despite the challenges of Covid-19, my daughter and I were finally able to visit The Hangout to see our family from a distance. We had been wanting to eat here for a while and the rainy weather didn't deter us. Despite a limited menu, we enjoyed the delicious fish finger sandwich and cake for lunch. The food was amazing, especially the fish finger sandwich - we had never had one like that before! We were also pleasantly surprised by the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, which reduced our bill. Although there was no indoor seating available yet, we had no problem sitting outside, even in the drizzle. The coffee was fantastic, the service was great, and the food was delicious. Visited during the eat out to help out scheme during August. Government website indicated this establishment was participating in the scheme but we were refused the discount and told the offer was not available until the following week. I then saw the Hangout advertising the scheme on Facebook, the day prior to us being there and inviting people to call in and get the discount. When I responded to this inaccuracy on f/book, my post was removed by the Hangout.I then wrote to the Hangout directly and was accused by Pen Lee of splashing bad vibes and making accusatory statements all over social media.
