Lovely tasty lunch. Menu is small but appetising and some good vegetarian vegan options available. The service was friendly and efficient. Lovely setting inside and a great garden outside with fantastic countryside views.

Limited lunch menu , really nice setting but not very warm Two of us had the fish which was very greasy maybe it should have been drained before plating up . Another had the Wagu burger which he raved about a lot and said it was the best burger he had ever had .

Most disgusting place I have ever been. Dogs running around inside the kitchen, bin bags piling up next to the car park. The menu lacks choices, food is not that great either (had dog hair on my burger!! Staff looks overworked and in general not a nice pub to spend on money on! We visited as a group of 6. Food was outstanding. The menu was not extensive but something for everyone. Gave us confidence that it was cooked from fresh. The service and attentive nature of the front of house team was second to none. From the moment we arrived until we left. They were understated but very effective. Nothing was too much trouble. Restored our nature in dining out. We will be returning. You have a good team there.

This pub is in a lovely location with great views. Service was reasonable as very busy. The mussels and burger were no longer available. We think the fish was cod but could have been anything, although it was mainly batter. My beef was cold, the roast potatoes were fluffy inside and the outside was far from crispy. The gravy was the best bit. My dessert was chocolate creamaux and the dark chocolate was served absolutely solid. Very disappointed, did not complain as someone else was paying.

A fairly basic pub menu, but priced at the top end. The decor and location are lovely and the service from the young staff was excellent. They have good indoor and outdoor space and are dog friendly. The food was good and well cooked and presented, but there is nothing particularly interesting about the menu choices or the portion sizes to justify twenty quid for a burger. 12.5% service was added automatically. Topping out at £50pp, with modest drinks and desserts, this felt expensive. Perhaps this is what it takes for a local pub to be sustainable these days, but on a Friday night our table was one of only a handful occupied. We discovered this place in January 2022 and what a treat that was. Amazing menu, delicious food, real gastropub. We felt lucky and enthusiastic, as we were in the process of moving into the area. After a couple of visits, we noticed the menu narrowing down and quality lowering and not cooked very well. We gave up after a couple more visits, as it had become overpriced grub. We decided to try again in September this year. The menu wasn’t inviting, lazy, with a couple of dishes missing on the already scarce menu. But we found something we wanted and it was okay. Service was painfully slow when wait staff did appear they never came back with the requested item e.g menus or veg for our lunch. We were there a long time with lots of waiting, which is fine if service is good but no-one was checking if we needed drinks or explaining the very very very long wait. The Sunday roasts were good although the gravy was too salty, one of our party was served roast pork which was 50% inedible fat we were given a tiny amount of veg for 7 people. We asked for more veg which never appeared. When our plates were cleared we shared feedback which was discussed, apologies made it was agreed that the pork was inedible and we were told they were unfortunately understaffed....

Lovely pub and atmosphere/ambience. Very dog friendly. Nice views from the back and a place to stretch the dogs legs. Friendly young waitress. We enjoyed our food (my mussels and the desserts especially however be aware the menu online isn’t the same as the menu in the restaurant. While it does say online ‘sample menu’ I feel it would be easy enough to update it, or at the very least publish the current menu on Facebook. It would have been a huge issue had our daughter/my mother been with us. As it was just myself and husband, it was a slight issue. I do have a query which hopefully they will address on the menu.
