We all enjoyed our meals. Very cheerful efficient waitress. Good to have a local that serves good food. Thankyou.

After having a fab roast dinner a few months ago my husband and i were slightly disappointed last sunday with our lunch time roast. Potatoes wern't cooked and it was very tasteless overall. Will try again another day.

The large room with all the decoration was perfect for a meal where you wished titration to each other and be heard. The high ceiling added to the sense of space. We regularly go out for a meal with these friends and we were all positive about the restaurant. Speisekarte ansehen

The nut roast was a little dry and the vegetables had clearly been pre cooked for all the roasts and just sitting in the kitchen waiting to be used. That being said, the casual atmosphere and lovely furnishings made for a good venue to catch up with friends. The staff were friendly and professional, we’d recommend it to others but maybe just for drinks.

Food was OK, but service was slow, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet on a Sunday night. Would have had a pudding, but no-one came to take the order, and couldn't be bothered to wait another half hour for it anyway! There didn't appear to be any dedicated waiters/waitresses in the restaurant area. Bar staff were doubling up. Unlikely to visit again.

We thought we would try it for Valentines Day. They have spent money on the refurbishment which has been done well and it had nice touches but we were very disappointed with the meal. Our starters were lukewarm and our steak was gristly. We were only asked if everything was ok when we were paying and the response we got for our disappointment was. Sorry about that. Had driven past a few times on holiday. Booked online for a Friday evening, was busy so service was a bit slower later on. Great variety of dishes on offer from lighter salads to pies and steaks. One diner was nut allergic and there allergy file was very comprehensive we were very impressed. We were a table of 4 and were not rushed at any point, nice relaxed meal. There were a mixture of diners from families with small children, couples and groups of adults celebrating.

High expectations but left very disappointed...the length of time we waited just for our starter was extremely long! We were told by the waitress that the excessive wait was because everyone came in at once but most of the tables had been reserved so they must of known how many people were expected? Starter was ok but when the main meal came out it was not hot and not enjoyable, we had to complain as many other diners at the same we’re also complaining about the wait, we ask to see the Manager to which the waitress had to take the flack, not very professional at all....”Hall and Woodhouse would turn in their graves” Not a very good experience at all...shame !!

The service at the restaurant was disappointing as the staff were not welcoming and took a long time to take our order and serve drinks. It was later revealed that they were understaffed, leading to the existing staff appearing unhappy. The food took a while to arrive and one of the meals was incorrect, resulting in a lengthy wait for a replacement. In addition, the draught beers were subpar, possibly due to inadequate cleaning, and one glass had a crack in it. The food was average at best, with overcooked vegetables and undercooked meats served lukewarm. Desserts and coffee did not improve the experience.
