"This restaurant is truly exceptional. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in a cozy bar with delicious homemade snacks. We had plenty of time to peruse the menu, which offered a wide variety of appealing options. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very calming and the food was superb, prepared with creativity and skill. The ingredients were ethically sourced and often locally sourced, with the vegetables coming from their own garden bursting with flavor. The Welsh lamb from a nearby farm was especially delectable. The dessert sharing plate was beautifully presented and the coffee was served with delightful petit fours. Overall, we had a fantastic evening and could not find any faults with this restaurant. We highly recommend it."

"recently visited for a birthday meal for my wife. I was particularly attracted to make their attitude towards children to eat, as is often difficult to go for a beautiful meal and find something that children will also enjoy. from the moment at which a warm greeting at the door gave us and made us feel at home. the location is quite a remote old building, with a clean modern decor. the food was excellent. we ordered the haddock and gnocchi as well as risotto for starter and then the steak and a trio boar for net. everything was perfectly boiled and to a very high standard, with melt in mouth meat. the children had chicken grujons with masque and sweet, which was very beautifully presented and they said it was the next lunch they had ever had! I would recommend a visit here and we will return. they will not be disappointed."

"the lunch for us turned out to press a little table. a call to the restaurant by another parade who reduced party size was accepted as our table. Despite our assurances, we had not made such a call, a big...without table was not available, although there was an empty table next to us for the whole meal. no apology was offered. our bill came to a head that, given the squeeze and very limited selection of vegetarian options, did not seem great worth for money. that said eating was delicious and the waiting service was excellent."

"This is my local pub, about a mile down the lane, my only problem with The Hunters Moon is that it’s easy to take it for granted! Everything about is is about as good as it gets this does cause me a bit of an issue when I visit other pubs, as their beer inevitably feels second rate to what I’m lucky enough to have on my doorstep! Food, atmosphere garden are also fab, it’s ideal for taking friends and visitors to we recently took friends for a Sunday lunch and sat chatting until teatime! :"

"What a funky place. Me the kids took the Misses for a birthday meal. Didn't book it was a Friday evening. They took us into the restaurant area, which was great, cause we had the whole room all to ourselves. But, I think this set the spooks off a little bit. For instance, As soon as we arrived at our table and the waitress had almost walked through the door, a small copper jug fell off the top of the electric fire onto the harth. No one was near it at the time. We spoke about our time there after the visit it seems we ALL experienced different little spooky things, that we dismissed, until we discussed it later. The place is just ace rustic with a very friendly atmosphere from both the living other) larger beer range is brilliant food is very lovely also all at a decent price. Thank you The Skirrid Inn. Thinking of going back but spending the night next time. The only thing I can complain is real annoying) is that nobody replied back to my email I sent with booking enquiry this is why we never booked) I was then going to enquire about staying the night, so you lost money there."
