service is excellent as always, eating fills us always, beautiful large portions. noce and cool, especially when it's hot outside.

This pub is excellent and serves delicious food. The staff are extremely helpful and the atmosphere is great. The surrounding area is perfect for scenic forest walks to build up an appetite.

I visited lunch time on Bank Holiday Monday and there was live music playing with a BBQ. Very good crowd but not packed. Service was good, the bar staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. I will be returning

I just came over the jolly woodman, and what a pretty little pub. the service was excellent, last Friday night. I went down with a few kumpels for a few pints and was impressed by the bartender who had a top node I think his name was johnny so one up to the erde young lad easy to come along and very friendly. I ordered a ten bird roast but was surprised to be served a 9 bird roast instead. Alistair was quite upset about it, and things escalated when the host made some snide remarks during his speech. This resulted in a heated situation that ended with some property damage. The waitress was great, but the restaurant's policy on certain matters was disappointing. I would not recommend this place for club dinners.

the place is absolutely amazing outside and inside. there is a large parking space in the front, tables in the forest and at the entrance, but also on the right side of the building. in the interior everything is carefully decorated in an old style, with archaic tools on the walls, old tables and chairs. the bare ladies were so nice to let us taste the beer before we ordered. not far from this beautiful place there is a national trustee: clivenden gardens, which I especially recommend for families with children. try jolly woodman and enjoy a nice, honeying out:

Today, my Mum and I went for lunch at The Jolly Woodman. We had visited back in July and enjoyed the food and warm welcome. Unfortunately, the menu had changed completely since our last visit. I had looked at the menu online beforehand, which had also changed from July, but still seemed nice with the option of standard or smaller portion sizes, perfect for my Mum. However, upon arriving, we found that the menu was completely different from what we had expected. The person who showed us the menus explained that they had just changed them. Despite this, they offered us ham, eggs, chips, and mushy peas or scampi and chips. We opted for the ham, eggs, chips, and mushy peas, priced at £13.50, and... Speisekarte ansehen
