Fantastic place to grab drinks in Edinburgh. Felt like a locals place and escape from the mob of tourists. Helpful staff and great atmosphere.

Senior management (in black shirt with beard) clearly stressing out other staff and giving attitude to customers. Ordered mac and cheese which was not good, tasted bad and cheap. I would not go back here again.

The soup and food were excellent as where the non-alcoholic drinks. However, not impressed about one member of staffs comments about the king. This is the Royal Mile........ Doubt if I'll be back as really not impressed Speisekarte ansehen

Anti American establishment. Ordered beers and was harassed by the bar tender for being american, note the man needed a shower and a shave clearly he stunk. We then left without getting our beers and we’re yelled at “don’t come back stupid Americans” don’t come here

Saw this place on the way back from a show at Dynamic Earth and thought it looked good for drinks before getting the train. The drinks and the place were average, nothing specific to say there, but it was the pompous arrogant bartender that really defined it. Drank up, moved on, wont go back.

The bar is decent, but there are better options nearby. The biggest issue is their inconsistent opening hours – they either open late, not at all, or close early, making it difficult to plan a visit without the risk of disappointment. Best open mic night ever. Came here for some drinks with a few of my friends and they had an open mic night on and it was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing and it’s an amazing little pub. Definitely should have a visit. Marcus, Graeme and Danny were amazing and looked after us brilliant, they honestly are the real deal. Definitely coming back!

My husband and I attempted to visit this restaurant when we saw that the door was open and they were advertised as being open for brunch. However, the bartender rudely told us to leave, using profanity. It would have been more appropriate for him to simply inform us that they were not yet open, rather than resorting to swearing. A simple apology and explanation would have sufficed.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was fantastic. I tried the vegetarian wrap with spicy fries and they were the best fries I've ever tasted. The portions were generous and the service was fast. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere inside. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by their unique and quirky menu. They had a great variety of vegan and meat options. I highly recommend this place, especially since it's not too crowded being close to Holyrood Palace. Speisekarte ansehen
