"Famous for their smoked and BBQ meats, Sunday roasts, and craft beers, King Street Tavern offers a unique experience as Portsmouth’s only genuine BBQ smokehouse. After having this spot on my “to eat” list for what felt like forever, I finally got to visit, and the relief was comparable to when Liverpool ended their 30-year wait for a Premier League title. The food was incredible, and the portions were generous; between the six of us, we had enough to feed a small village. The wild boar sausage and Texas smoked brisket from the Smokehouse Taster Tray were particular highlights, as was the rich flavor of the boneless BBQ chicken thighs which hit harder than Steven Gerrard’s last-minute FA Cup final goal against West Ham in 2006. As for drinks, cider enthusiasts will be thrilled with the selection available, and when it comes to beer, Evolution is the session IPA of choice. Really pleased to have finally eaten here, it met all of my expectations and now the only thing left now is to return for a roast!"

Amazing food, huge portions and amazing price. We have been craving to try brisket as we seen lots of it on YouTube and this did not disappoint, what an amazing meal.

I'd heard great things about the roast dinner, it was reasonable but not the best I've had. An otherwise nice and friendly place to visit with friends/family and a good selection of drinks.

Our first time for visiting King Street Tavern. The staff customer service was excellent and they were a credit to you. As for the Sunday roast it was huge and absolutely delicious. Just sad we haven't found you before. Thank you Speisekarte ansehen

Looking like an old school pub, you could walk past it and not realise the tasty goodness inside. 100% would recommend to anyone and everyone! Great choice of beers and IPAs. All the meat we tried was ammmmazing, and the mac cheese, god damn!!

One of the best roasts I've eaten in a long long time. The beef was so tender and delicious it literally melted in my mouth like butter. Had the Guv'nor Roast which was all 3 meats plus ALL the trimmings. Great food great atmosphere great company.
