Nice place to stay especially for the price! The bar tenders were good and the breakfast was amazing! Good fish and chips. Most of the patrons were good but there was definitely a local crowd that was sometimes a bit rough and unpleasant. Overall a good experience and will return. My son performed here last night and it was the nicest welcome we have had. Our friends had the food and said it was great and the locals made us feel like one of them. Called in recently on a Friday lunchtime. It was dead! Four workmen! No lights on! No heating! Girl behind the bar Yawning! Gents loo smelly and dirty! Awful pint of Madri, tasted more like Carling! Wife's coffee was cold and all milk! No food on offer! Been going here for over 50 years and I have never seen a transformation from what was a busy friendly place.
