"Looking at reviews, I wonder if we’re talking about the same place? Maybe it was chef’s day off! We thought we’d treat ourselves to lunch out and the Manor House was recommended. It was so disappointing. We’d read the menu online and I’d already selected...what I wanted: panko squid rings and scallop dish of the day. This was encouraging as it suggested somewhere that offers a sophisticated choice. But when we got there neither of those things appeared on the menu. It turned out to be ok but a fairly basic burger and stuff from freezer to over to plate. I could have bought my scampi peas and chips from Iceland and cooked them at home much cheaper. There was nothing else on the menu I fancied. My message to the proprietor is to either put your current menu on your website so that people know the choice or to say that it is subject to variation and to ring to find out. Really spoiled my day. I was expecting a special meal but there was nothing special about frozen scampi and frozen peas"

Great food and beer and lovely staff. I won 't give details here but I have a couple of friends that had a minor 'emergency ' and the landlady was very kind and offered help them beyond what she needed to.

Went with a party of 6. We all had something different and all agreed that the food was of the highest standard. Excellent value for money. Will most definitely be returning (especially for a Tarquins Special).

Lovely atmosphere. Even better food. The carvery is outstanding. The value for money is incomprehensible. The quality of ingredients for the small amount they charge is amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We dont really have a local pub and this was recommended to us. Food was great and despite being warned they were busy arrived quickly. Only complaint was the waitress didnt write down our order and there was an error with our food however they...did correct quickly

Our family frequents the Manor often and today they catered for my father in laws wake. I can honestly say the buffet was amazing, we had vegetarians and gluten free/vegan guests and all of the food was delicious. Kim Joss are very accommodating and...both lovely. Cannot recommend them enough- also fab carvery on a Sunday!

Popped in for lunch after visiting Launceston where we couldn't find hot food! It was 2.45pm and they stopped doing food at 3.00pm. Went in to the bar, which was full of locals praising the food. Had a super lunch really enjoyed it...being cooked for us no microwaving. Just over an hours drive from home but will certainly go back!

the manor is to our 'gate to 'local for a Friday meal. the pub is efficient and eating is always excellent. Since each meal is freshly cooked, they may have to wait a little until they are brought to the table. but it's always worth waiting! the leber and speck special I had last night was the best I ever tasted! booking is essential to guarantee a table. well done team!

Back again and again outstanding food. Everything cooked fresh and served hot. Don’t expect standard pub Fayre. This is a huge step up. Be prepared to wait for it to be cooked and chat among yourselves . Fresh scollops cooked to perfection and then a...chicken and chorizo pie was my choice. Staff friendly but not intrusive. Been a few times now and not yet disappointed.Good value too. Keep a good pint too.

We called in on a whim on a Saturday evening and were looked after without hesitation. The staff are friendly and efficient and the pub building is quaint and has a lot of atmosphere. Plenty of outdoors seating too, scattered around on different levels, which is nicely quirky. The food was nicely presented, with good portions and was excellent. One of our party had a food allergy and the chef delivered the food personally and explained how he had varied the ordered dish to accommodate the allergy, which we thought was a really nice touch.
