Wow wow wow, Santa and the reindeer you really did an amazing job. All staff were amazing, so well organised and planned. The food was awesome and the band were sensational. What a pub

A totally delicious Sunday Lunch ! Great portion size, loads of veg, including cauliflower cheese ! Managed a dessert that was equally tasty. Friendly staff, can highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed ! 10/10

Superb. Cozy friendly atmosphere. Friday night with a singer from 6 till 8. Open log fire. Straightforward menu with some twists. Very good chef. Nice wine selection. Excellent evening. How a pub should be. Will be back for sure. Speisekarte ansehen

We visited the new inn after visiting Emmerdale, we found them very expensive for what we had. The meal we had or rather didn't, existed of four sausages with the smallest amount of smashed potatoes that tasted like instant mash with Theakston's onion gravy, no vegetables. I was disgusted with it that i took my sausages back for my dogs. The land lady was quite rude. I will never recommend this family run pub to anyone. The price for that meal was £12.99.

Friday nights just how we like them. We came a few weeks ago and listened to some amazing music by Ruby, we had a lovely meal too, we came back a few week later and it was a lady called Alex who was amazing We didn’t eat as the restaurant was full so if your wanting a good night and great food book for a Friday night because this place is back on the map with some wonderful staff and atmosphere thank you the new inn team.. oh and emmerdale have gone which is wonderful

We have enjoyed Sunday lunch a few times, this was a planned visit for a spot of midweek lunch and a natter. Drinks served, menu perused and already a division. 2 of us had starters, two passed. I chose the Thai Mussels and Mrs G chose the Crab. My word…. A bucket of mussels arrived and a whole crab !!!! Several mussels were shared around, as was the crab. Mains 1 Gloucester Old Spot Chop 1 Hake 1 Marsala Chicken The other was still attacking the crab !!! Since the new management team have taken over, The New Inn has improved leaps and bounds. The consistency of effort put into both their food and drink offering (frequently changing menus and wine selection). The planning and effort they have put in throughout the year running successful key events such as Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas have really turned this place back into a fabulous local community hub. We have regularly sampled the menus over lunch, dinner as well as Boxing Day. The food remains consistently good with great flavours, quality ingredients but with none of that nouvelle cuisine portion size nonsense! They also employ some excellent staff who provide great service. W...

With my car breaking down conveniently just outside the New Inn; me and my friends thought it was only right for us to pop in. The staff were understanding of our situation and kept coming up to us to check how we were getting on. Whilst there, I had fish and chips (the chips were incredible, as was the fish! A great sized portion also) and my friends had a sandwich and sticky toffee pudding which they both throughly enjoyed. The service was quick and incredibly friendly. After a few hours of waiting for the repair man, we got to know the bar lady who was kind enough to make us a posh coffee in a cafetière and the chef. Went for Boxing Day lunch. All I will say is that the food and service was excellent ! I had the most enormous focaccia bread turkey sandwich which had sausages, bacon, cranberry sauce and onion relish on it really lovely and very generous portion with great dressed side salad and chips. Fabulous value at £9! My fellow dinners had great fish chips/braised pigs cheeks on mash black pudding. Both thoroughly enjoyed. Plus 2 desserts which were lovely too. Atmosphere in this place has got better and better recently with dining area now cosy following addition of a snug area where part of the restaurant area used to be.
