"Just what we needed, having walked our dog along the cycle trail on a hot morning and just fancied popping in for an ice cream. Bon Appetit is ideally situated for both cyclists and walkets alike, and could not have been more dog friendly, with a nice big bowl of water put out for thirsty pooches. We were soon tempted by other goodies on the very comprehensive and reasonably priced menu and settled for churros and a milk shake. Whilst placing our order, I could see cake mixture being poured into a tin, so the range of cakes are home made and looked delicious. What is obviously a converted farmyard was the ideal spot to sit in the sun (there is some undercover seating for less sunny days). My husband said that was the best milk shake he had ever had (praise indeed), and I have to agree with him. Our 9 month old springer puppy was made a fuss of by the staff and the whole experience was brilliant. Our pup was well behaved enough for us to feel that we could have stayed longer. I’m sure Bon Appetit will be a favourite and next time we will stop for lunch, as the food coming out to other tables looked delicious!"

"We revisited this venue after 20 yrs and were delighted to see it has not lost any of its charm and hospitality. Staff were friendly, food is excellent and the location has to be one of the best in the country. Dining on the private jetty as the sun goes down watching the tide flow is fantastic. Parking is a bit tight, book early, arrive early and enjoy the experience."

"We’ve been semi regulars for a while now and really enjoy Thursday pub quiz night. Staff are very welcoming. However whilst the food served is very good have noticed that portion size has decreased on the last couple of visits, guess it’s a sign of the times. For example I come for lunch every now and then, just order a bowl of delicious homemade soup, but the size of bowl now very small, also used to offer smaller portions of some main meals for lunch etc but no longer. If not for this I would rate 5*. Had the lasagne which was good but could do with either a larger portion or a decent portion of salad on the side not just a couple of leaves. Realise it’s a difficult time for businesses in the hospitality sector but like many other people we drive several miles to the pub when we could just walk to our local town. Anyway this is I hope taken as feedback, it is a lovely pub which serves good food just could do with adjusting the portion size a little."

"Stayed here overnight on a business trip today . Booked through a company agent and had a meal booked a room breakfast. On arrival, the parking is somewhat awkward, luckily I bagged a spot directly opposite the pub this is not a pub car park but free parking is available however maybe worth dropping your bags off before parking up in the local area. On entry to the pub I was greeted and shown to my room where my key was laid on the bed, nice room, towels tea coffee, hair dryer and generally a cozy room room 2 . Good wifi also. It was a bit cold so I closed the window wide open in October? , the room radiator was off so turned it up but the heat never came maybe on a timer? I did take this up with the hosts and asked for a portable heater which never came. I was offered a different room very quickly which was lovely Heavy rain and weather in the area at the time, after checking in to the first room, I decided to work from my pc, the room then sprung a leak over the bed, after an hour of being in the room, it became apparent, nothing major but a roof leak. I reported it later and suspected due to it being an old building this was probably a one off leak but did need investigating. A bulb was out on a bed side cabinet, surely this was a room check? A loose toilet seat needed tightening up , and the shower, on ‘it’s hottest setting’ was tepid look warm. Also the central heating was not on, I mentioned this to the manager on shift whom was great and came to see me during my evening meal and made a point of approaching me which was really nice and showed the establishment management where kept informed of issues as guest checked in well done staff! , however a heater never appeared. Later in the evening I resided in my second room, again there was no heating. The girl behind the bar was superb and so apologetic"

"We were visiting Falmouth and looking for a local country pub, found this on google and though we would check it out. It's a nice local country pub in the small village of St Stythians not to far off the beaten track. The pub was fairly busy and most of the tables were being used. The landlady said they were still taking food orders and we could sit outside in the small outside dining area. We took our drinks out and she came out a few minutes later to get our order. I think she could tell by our chattering teeth that it was slightly cold outside. She then promptly found us a table inside that was just vacated. The food them came out a few minutes later, and it was very good. Everything seemed to be homemade and the two pies we had were delicious, and good value. I would recommend this place if you are in the area. In some local pubs you can sometimes feel a bit of a stranger and not always welcome, not here. The staff were really friendly, happy to chat and nothing was too much trouble."
