The Original Pasty House

Recently had a spot of lunch with my young family here whilst down visiting Devon, where the rest of my family are. Great pasty, a truly west country experience with a great cream tea afterwards too. The staff were nice and friendly, kids loved the...cakes and milkshakes. Will be back!

Visited this month on a very busy evening in town and was so impressed with how organised and friendly the staff were despite how hard they were working. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful! The food was lovely and hot and the iced coffee...is genuinely better than the big franchises. Would definitely recommend when you are in town

for years be here,love it,but today the caffe was very quiet, our order was in, the two girls had it before them, plundered on and on chatting laugh and giggle for old, while all 4 of us stared to hope. would she begin our order...but obviously I lose my dealth stare. I don't want to be a creepy customer, but there's time to chat when there's no people to serve.

visited 3/4/22 around 16/30 coworkers red haired male staring me ran away, I called him back asking them serve, replied “Yeagh ” texting on mobile while serving. Girls staring only on customers mechanical miserable look bad customer service ., lazy and sloppy . this was earlier a really nice place. it is terrible not the first time, but now it is time to avoid an apology just terrible. greggs from now on.

wanted to thank them and their team for the excellent buffet they have made us available on Sunday. eating was delicious and so plentiful. there was certainly more than enough to go! all commented how much they enjoyed the different sandwiches and. the castors went down a storm. I was also very impressed by the quality of the service of delivery. delivered on time and with a smile. they even arranged the plates on the table for me. would definitely recommend a party.

for lunch. - I love this place. many employees, very few customers. waiting for recognition and preservation was one thing and we have never waited until our drinks are served. I ordered a jackspeich with chicken curry. the curry was about a small table spoon full without t much sauce. the spuck was so dry down, I had to ask for extra butter. had to wait for cutlery after eating. no salt or pfeffer. had to wait for sugar after drinks were served. not sure where the waiter had to find the sugar. will not be back food and service very bad.

Visited today and despite the place being busy we received good service. Staff were on the ball and very aware of orders taking longer than they should and chasing them up etc. The staff all clearly had a role and were working hard to keep...up with the demand. I wish I knew the name of the lady who served me at the till because she was very helpful and attentive, but there were no badges worn. Having said that, from people watching whilst enjoying my food/drink, all the staff acted in a similar manner. Food was tasty, fresh and hot and I can’t wait to return and try another item from the menu. Thanks!

I not one to write a review but feel i must. I did have good service from the lady who served me and the food was good but it wasn't busy so you don't expect problems but i did notice everyone except one was just...standing around talking and there was at least 8 behind counter if not on phones was talking. The dress code could also do with looking at because have at least some standards. Also i now it choice but not one was wearing mask and being that they have to come deliver your food and breath over you you think they would in these times we as public have to wear them when we entering your shop as the sign says on window so we should have the same back and yes i now they don't have to b...

My fiance and I came in on the 4th December for something to eat and drink. We asked for 2 medium cappucinos, a turkey cranberry pasty and a chicken mushroom slice. The young girl who took the order had to be told 3...times what drinks we wanted as she was not paying attention to the order, more like what was going on outside. We got the drinks fairly quickly which was great but we waited for over 20 minutes for food, which still did not arrive. My fiance went to the counter and enquired where our food was.
