Had a real nice meal, the staff were so busy, but they done well, and the chef knows what he is doing. We had an antipasti starter, my wife had thee pork belly and I had thee stake.

Fantastic pub food. Visited 3 times in the space of a week and the food was spot on each time. Highly recommend the chilli or Lasagne. Great cask ales on draught. Very Friendly staff. Definitely coming back. Thank you!

My wife and i go on a date night every Friday night for the past 2 years, and the penscot is the 2 nd best pub we have eaten at, outstanding food,outstanding flavours, a really lovely family very chatty and down to earth, LOVED IT, thank you, TRISH and PAT.

Booked a table. Normal menu plus the daily specials. There is table service and masks can be removed once seated. Food looks good and tastes great. All the staff wear masks and tables are cleaned between sittings. My friend and I had a relaxed meal which we thoroughly enjoyed.

what a beautiful place. the decor is a little dated, but that only adds to its charm. there was a large selection on the menu to not disappoint the food for our party. the service was attentive without being overlaid. we thought it was a great value for 5 loose of netzen, desserts and drinks at £88. it is worth avoiding the touristic fall and driving here.

booked a table for 10 for Sunday lunch. the pub was heaving, but the service was efficient and the roast beef meal I certainly had the best what I had in a pub was nice and the part was generous. each person in our party enjoyed their meal and said how delicious it was. the crowning glory for me was the friendly reception for all of us plus my little dog. we will definitely eat there again. highly recommended.

we ate here with two adult and five children, of which three have special needs. the renter was fabulously understood and accommodating. we felt very comfortable and unintentional about our somewhat loud children, as there was no feeling that we were annoyed, and there was a lot of space in the dining room so that we were uncracked. the renter was very good at giving the child a straw that cannot drink without one and cares the other ketchup in the individual pots. she was also very discreet to ask if we wanted a desert, so we did not have to discuss a complete discussion with all children. the kitchen was also very accommodating about the nutritional requirements of one of our party.

We felt very comfortable and unworried about our somewhat noisy children as there was no feeling of us being a nuisance, and there was a lot of space in the dining room, so we were uncrowded. The landlady was very good about providing a straw for the child who can't drink without one and copious ketchup in individual pots for the others. She was also very discrete about asking if we wanted desert, so we didn't have to have a full on discussion with all the children. The kitchen was also very accommodating about dietary requirements of one of our party.
