The hotel was wonderful with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. They only offer boards of food or platters, but it was very enjoyable. The rooms were excellent, the service was top-notch, and the location was perfect. This hotel is highlighted by its peaceful atmosphere and great value.

We live locally to The Oakhouse and would love to pop over regularly for a drink, especially in the summer months. However, my husband doesn't drink alcohol and no alternative beers, lagers or ciders are provided. The barmaid also makes it clear that we are welcome to take our business elsewhere too. Which we did.

Located in the village square of Axbridge, this cozy pub/inn offers an all-English atmosphere. The small but sufficient rooms are lacking in A/C, following English tradition. The breakfast is great and the location is excellent for reaching Bristol airport in just 15 minutes. Loved it. Perfect location. Lovely comfortable room. Tea and coffee with fridge and coffee maker. Lovely vegan and vegetarian breakfast. Bar is very nice with nice decor. The shower was lovely and hot. My room was in a perfect spot to watch over the square. The were also kind enough to let me put my bike just inside the building overnight but there are bike spaces just outside on the square. Lovely helpful staff. Rooms: 5

The 2 night stay for my 60th birthday has been amazing. Alex is a wonderful host and manager. The food is 11/10 breakfast was amazing The best myself and other half have ever had. Also the meal in the evening was wonderful from fish chips to prawn and veg curry with home made nan. Absolutely amazing. Please give this place a go they deserve your custom. I will never visit this restaurant again. When I arrived, there were no staff present and no clear indication of where to find my room key. The reception area was locked, and I had to wait until another guest helped me access the information sheet in his room. I called the duty manager, who arrived promptly and sorted out the key situation. However, someone had already taken my assigned room, so I was given an upgrade to a different room. Unfortunately, the TV didn't work and the curtain was falling off. The bar and restaurant were only open for weddings and events, and breakfast consisted of instant oats and jam left in the room.
