"I 'm someone who likes to eat out often, so having been looking forward to coming to this restaurant I was appalled by the terrible and unprofessional service we experienced here. Firstly after being rushed to put our order in at the bar, they brought our starters and only 2 of the mains together. We wanted our starter before main meal but were told 'it saves the waiter 's legs ' by bringing both together. Say no more. My father then had to wait for his main after my mum and I had eaten ours, when it finally came it was the wrong meal. The owner was very grumpy and far too defensive simply no customer service, he said the third meal didn 't go through to the kitchen then came back to charge us for this meal separately, we paid for it but just awful restaurant and staff. The food was good, but as the service was so awful, I would never return here, nor recommend this place to anyone. The service is just as important as quality of food when eating out, and this place fails on every count. Stay away is my advice."

The restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The pasta dishes were full of flavor and perfectly portioned. The tiramisu that followed was possibly the best I have ever had.

We turned up this evening (New Year's Eve) and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were made very welcome and had a delicious meal. Dog friendly too. Lovely, relaxing pub. Definitely worth a visit.

Without any doubt The Plough in Winchmore Hill serves the best Italian food in Amersham and High Wycombe Area. I ate there for several occasions and food was always amazing. Made from fresh ingredients and cooked by some very talented chefs. Best pizza I ate outside Italy. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The Plough is hidden in a small village. Its got unique character. Highly recommended place for all Italian food lovers.
