The Pottery In Pontypridd

Food was very good but service is non existent. Adults food brought out but children's didn't come out until we had asked 3 times for them, and even then we had been waiting so long we had started the refund process.

The food was tasteless and bland. We waited over 30 minutes for our side order after we had finished our meal, only to be told that they didn't think we wanted it. Even after my daughter asked for them multiple times, they arrived soggy as if they had just been quickly fried and taken out. The quality has definitely declined - the food and service used to be great. We won't be returning.

Group of 21 of us were well looked after, all the staff were great and friendly. Food all came out together and was hot. Everyone enjoyed their meals and felt it was great value for money which is rare these days. Also had breakfast there another morning which was good! Sophie (I'm presuming was the manager) was fantastic. If you want decent food at a good price with good service, you wont go far wrong with the Pottery.

The service was fast, but the food arrived cold, which was disappointing considering the price. Additionally, there was a lot of juice from the meat on the plate, making everything soggy and unappetizing. The initial service we received upon arrival was subpar, as the staff seemed moody and unhelpful. Despite these issues, the meal was good value for money. However, there were a lot of flies in the restaurant, landing on the food and putting us off.

We visited this little gem a few weeks ago and were very pleasantly surprised at how great it was. The menu is more varied than most pubs and our meals didn't disappoint. Both food and staff were lovely. We went again a few weeks later and they were dealing with a leak and a problem with one of they're grills so had a restricted menu. It may have taken a little longer but staff were still really polite and the food they were able to sell was fab. I can't wait to try out the new menu when it becomes available!!

The food was good value for money however it was cold. Me and my daughter had different meals i had the chicken platter and she had the steak and rib combo and all meats were cold. It was pointless going to the bar after the wait we had to order the food and drinks in the first place. Also we sat down the bottom area and all tables were dirty with left over food on plates with just one girl serving. Not once in the whole time we were there didnt she clear any tables and actually walking passed the tables having taken meals to people sat outside in the beer gardens.

Had a birthday meal tonight 24.2.23 for my 12 year old daughter all was lovely lovely food served relatively quick which is a big improvement to last time. My youngest daughter has a severe allergy to nuts so we are allways cautious eating out, we let the staff know and they couldn't of been any more accommodating triple checking ingredients etc also instead of her cutlery coming out in the pot with everyone else's they were brought out separately and were still very hot from an extra boil wash. Just put our mind at ease even more. Thankyou to allcthe staff really enjoyed the evening

My wife and I eat here at least once per week usually. This year we booked to eat here on Christmas Day, the first time that we have done so. The food was excellent, as usual. The presentation of each course was inventive, showing that a real effort had been made to make the occasion special and the staff on duty were happy, attentive and made every effort to ensure that a great time was had by us all! We will definitely be dining here next Christmas too!! Special mentions go to the Chef, Dave, for his inventive presentation and to Sophie, Kirsty and Emma for helping to make the day a special one!!

We made a reservation for a table for 2 on Sunday, June 25th to dine on Friday, June 30th. When we arrived, the waitress told us there had been a mistake and our table had been combined with another to make a table for six. We were given the option of sitting in the garden or in an overflow room with draughty tables that were not set up properly. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our table. We believe that our reservation should have been honored just as much as any other customer who shows up for lunch. Just a tip, the toilets are not the storage cupboard that some customers were trying to use. In the end, we left without eating, so thank you The Pottery, you let us down.
