Always incredibly attentive staff. Polite and chatty. Food is delicious and always piping hot. Sunday roast is amazing. Great British pub love this place

Dog friendly which was great! Lovely inventive menu we had the popcorn Tofu and the fennel salami pizza ! Both were delicious and really enjoyable! The pub is cozy inside and staff lovely! A very good experience!

This pub is fantastic! They offer great local beers, with only one bitter on tap today but it was a good pint. As a vegan, I appreciate that they always have something for me to eat. The Korean spiced tofu with rice, pickled vegetables, and crispy kale was excellent. The staff is also very friendly. Thank you!

While staying in the area, our host recommended this pub to us. It appeared charming from the outside, but was smaller inside than expected. We were advised to book a table, however, we were the only customers in there. We both ordered fish and chips, which were delicious and we had no complaints about the food. However, we felt that the pub was lacking in atmosphere.

Took my wife there yesterday for lunch, we both had fish and chips and coffee. The coffee tasted horrible and I did not drink mine, the fish and chips were were eatable but nothing exciting. The inside of the pub looks very run down with tatty kids toys on the bar, and a worn out mat by the door just waiting for someone to trip on it. This used to be a very nice pub, but now I will give it a miss.

We were disappointed with our Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The vegetables were undercooked and partly burnt, and my beef lacked flavor. We shared a dessert of chocolate brownie and ice cream. The ice cream was delicious, but the brownie was small and too dry. I ordered a black Americano, which arrived in a mug without a tray or sugar, resembling something from a greasy diner. While I like dogs, I was not comfortable having them roam around the dining area looking for food. Some people may enjoy this setup, but it was not for us.

I had the chicken rice bowl, which needed rubbery chicken skin removed, but it was then just mediocre. My friend unfortunately chose the fish and chips... well if you like grey, soggy chips and fish with greasy, soggy skin, then this is the place for you. And one of the chips was green which I'm pretty sure means that we should not eat it, and certainly the chef should not have served it. The table has broken legs so couldn't be moved to fit us properly, and the place was cold. Why not light the fire to improve atmosphere? Never ever again.

Lovely atmosphere, unfortunately slow service. The young man behind the bar was left in charge of the whole pub by himself, meaning we ended up ordering all our drinks at the bar. Long wait for food but we didn 't mind too much as the atmosphere in the pub was very enjoyable, especially with the lovely open fire. We couldn 't help feeling sorry for the one waiter on his own, especially when (who we guess was) the owner kept appearing to get his own food from the kitchen and taking it upstairs. The food was pretty tasty, my fiancé had a beef burger which he described as 'top notch ' I had the Korean chicken burger which was nice but could have done with a crisper coating and a bit less sauce....
