"What a find! A delightful thatched hostelry with the most welcoming host, great food and ales and a song thrush to accompany me back to my little campervan. After a 400 mile drive over from France and nearing the end of 1400 miles from Greece, it was the perfect place to shake off the dust and just relax. Exactly what a quintessential country pub should be. Thank you to all the team, but particularly Jon for your warmest of welcome and attending to my huge thirst for proper ale and fish and chips after a 6 months absence! Bravo!"

A truly excellent country pub. The best lamb steak I have ever had, served with very tasty veg. Service could not be faulted. Overall a really nice experience. In fact, we will be back ! Best book in advance

family dinner for my 85th birthday, I could not have gone anywhere else. friendly, efficient, unhurried service. excellent eating. they couldn't do enough for us. They made my day, as usual. great place and people. even the dog enjoyed the fuss from her.

this was a meal of first and I will definitely be back for more. the employees were some of the profis I know and for what they get it is cheap. Overall I was impressed and I enjoyed the meal, though somewhere I thought I should play on my tamagotchi and listen to the spice girls.

There for Friday dinner. You said we could choose anywhere we like to sit, but if we chose a table in the restaurant immediately said that you don't!!! It was not reserved, so there was no reason to move us, but he set us the other end of the restaurant for reasons that are best known to him. Food was acceptable, but not fantastic. The prices were on the high side.
