"Lovely bar and great potential. However lack of bar staff waiting over 15 minutes to order a drink this was prior to our restaurant sitting 7:30. The restaurant has no ambience at all, the food is absolutely tiny and I ordered a takeaway when I got home. The quality is ok, but the pricing is crazy. Paid £98 for two courses and two drinks. My partner wanted a cocktail, asked for menu and they didn’t have one. The waiter reeled off a small list and they explained they were available in a pitcher only who orders pitchers when going out for a romantic meal? It was very apparent the waiting staff lacked experience also, and there seemed to be nobody providing guidance experience to help them. I eat at a lot of good high quality restaurants both cheap and expensive and I don’t mind paying for quality but I do mind paying when the quality is poor and the price is massively overly inflated. Sadly, we will never return great potential. Address the restaurant look ambience, poorly trained waiting staff, price, cocktail drinks menu and you will do well im sure! We were offered 20% off the bill based upon a complaint to the waitress, which was a nice gesture. That price was more suitable but I still consider it expensive."

"for Sunday dinner. not too busy when we arrived and there were many young people waiting for it, but they seemed more interested in chatting until they had to do with diners. the manager was there, but that seemed to make no difference. you finally served, but the waitress has not offered any smiles or some kind of enthusiasm, had only a boring expression. beef was not so tender and not so much of it for the price. was not asked if we wanted more drinks from our waitress, so they cried over when my sons said they wanted no other drink they had thrown off without waiting for my man and I needed one so to defeat another waitress. other diners who need to ask for menus, etc., although many server around them were standing right at chatting. this is a beautiful place, but the experience on Sunday was not comparable to previous occasions. will not rush back for one because, but it will probably give another away, but if it is quieter, as the service and eating seemed better at that time."

"The restaurant is extremely expensive considering the quality of the food and service. There are not enough staff members, and those who are working seem to be overwhelmed. The service is slow, the cocktails are inconsistent, and the atmosphere is loud. We were surprised to find a large group of children in the room next to us on a Sunday night, making it difficult to enjoy our meal. I would recommend saving your money and dining elsewhere. Food: 2/5"

"Have visited this pub last three weeks on Saturday night about 10pm to catch up with a few friends. Last night (3rd July 2021) one of our party asked landlady/owner to turn music down. His brother had just passed away and he wanted to chat. She said that there had been alot of football supporters in the pub who had spent more money than us and refused to turn it down despite tha fact that apart from the five in our party there was only herself and a couple of others at her table. Also one or two in another room. She said basically that if we did not like it we could go elsewhere. Disgraceful tirade from someone who should be welcoming back trade after being locked down for so long. Needless to say we wont be going back again. No masks worn when moving around and no record being kept of visitors in accordance with requirements for test and trace purposes. The one good thing was the barman."

"Went for a spa day I can honestly say I was disappointed. There were children in the pool area which made it noisy the opposite of relaxing. Too many people were let into the spa in my opinion as there were more people than loungers really over crowded. The fire ice experience was nice.. but again.. too many people so the steam rooms didn't have much steam as people were constantly in out. There was no music in the relaxation area our party was told the speakers were broken wouldn't be fixed until January. The treatment I had was really lovely, the only negative was that the speaker (that did work in the treatment room) was really crackly so the relaxing music was anything but relaxing. The toilet in the female changing area was disgusting.. looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in a very long time. I asked for a replacement robe as I did not want to sit in a wet robe during the cream tea in the bar area but I was told I could not swap it for free... I would have to pay for it...! I have never known a spa not give you fresh towels or robes if you need them..! So sitting in a wet robe to eat lunch was not particularly comfortable. We had a specific time slot booked for the lunch so no opportunity to shower dry off beforehand. I don't think I would return here as it felt too commercial."
