"Really pleasantly surprised by this restaurant based purely on not expecting a great deal from a hotel restaurant, combined with the fact that we ate late on a Sunday and it was one on of the few places open rather than being a choice per se. The food was excellent from a varied and interesting menu. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, with an unexpectedly relaxed atmosphere considering that this is right in the city centre. Would return and recommend plenty more on this menu to tempt us back."

Nice setting overlooking riverfront friendly staff and pleasing atmosphere good starters, but we had seafood main courses which despite good quality core ingredients could have been better sauces didn't quite hit the mark. Otherwise very good.

We went to Sunday Carvery and were the first to be served. Unfortunately, the plates were cold and the food was only tepid. We mentioned this to the staff when we left. It was disappointing, as we have always had a good experience in the past.

We had a fantastic meal at The River Grille last night. The food was seriously delicious and beautifully presented. All of the staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. It's also just a lovely setting. Could not fault it at all to be honest! We will be back!

My sister and I enjoy visiting this restaurant when we reunite in Bristol. The menu offers a variety of options that are all delicious. The service is top-notch and unobtrusive. Occasionally, we are fortunate enough to enjoy live piano music. This hidden gem is a perfect spot to relax, people-watch, and enjoy a meal.

Amazing lunch celebrating university graduation Arrived to find they'd accidentally accepted our booking despite being closed for lunch, despite this the manager handled it excellently! He sat us next-door and instructed the kitchen to start cooking for us despite the restaurant being closed! The scallops and steak were fabulous!

First visit here and was blown away! Amazing food, friendly staff and very lovely ambience! Best time to visit is in the evening just before the sun sets. Was really pleased with the waiter’s recommendation on the mains: rib eye steak in medium rare and the seafood skillet. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for an ambient experience with good food!
