The food at this charming countryside pub is incredible and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

The rooms are of great quality and the restaurant offers a small menu with high-quality, flavorful dishes that are presented nicely.

I had heard good things about the new chef at the Royal George, so we decided to give it another try. The chef did not disappoint. The three of us had a great evening meal and the service was friendly. We will definitely be returning.

We visited this restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful meal last night. The blade of beef special was exceptional! The front of house service was cheerful and efficient, and the meal was very reasonably priced. Thank you for a fantastic evening, we will definitely return after lockdown.

We had a fantastic meal to celebrate a birthday. The steaks were perfectly cooked to taste and the deserts just the right portion and delicious. Just had the most delicious Sunday lunch and never had such tender tasty roast beef as this. The portions are generous and the puddings and desserts ended the meal perfectly. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. If you want a really nice Sunday lunch then visit The Royal George, I can thoroughly recommend.

I recently visited the newly reopened Royal George in Cottingham with friends for Sunday lunch. The food was exceptional and the service was top-notch. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic dining experience. Tomas, the owner and chef, personally checked in with each diner to make sure they were enjoying their meal. He also took the time to discuss any special food requests we might have for future visits. It was a wonderful afternoon and we highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. We will definitely be returning as regular guests! We wish Tomas, his lovely wife, and their friendly team all the best in their new venture at the Royal George.

Overall, our experience at this restaurant was fine. We stayed for two nights last minute and the landlady was friendly and accommodating. However, the room was quite small and cramped, especially the bathroom. The bar and restaurant were run by children who didn't seem to have much hospitality experience. We had booked with dinner and breakfast included for both nights, but unfortunately, this wasn't registered in their system. When we came down for dinner on Sunday, we were informed that they stopped serving at 5pm, which we weren't made aware of beforehand. It's the little things that made our stay less enjoyable.
