Rutland Arms - Speisekarte

I recently visited Bakewell and stopped by the coffee section for a cup of coffee. The coffee was delicious, the service was excellent, and the surroundings were lovely. We truly enjoyed our experience.

I had a wonderful dining experience at a restaurant in Bakewell on a rainy and chilly weekday. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant was dog-friendly with a diverse menu. The sandwiches we ordered were delicious and beautifully presented.

Fabulous meal on a Saturday evening we had the sharing platter followed by Lamb and Bakewell Pudding. Every course was delicious, atmosphere fantastic (the restaurant is absolutely stunning), great service in fact nothing but highest praise we had a fabulous evening. The Coffee Shop at The Rutland Hotel is definitely our new favourite place for lunch. Since refurbishment under The Coaching Inn Group this is just the best place to eat in Bakewell. We love the ambience and the roaring log fires in the lounge. Great sandwiches for lunch and the young staff are well trained and friendly, with the best coffee in Bakewell. Can't wait for you to open again, guys!

We called in here for Sunday lunch and were lucky to secure the last available table. We had eaten here a few years ago and my recall was that it had been mediocre. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The roast sirloin of beef was beautifully presented, extremely tender and full of flavour and the roast potatoes were fantastic. The service was very friendly and professional and I would certainly return when I next visit Bakewell.

We decided to book this restaurant after reading unfavorable reviews of another place we were originally planning to visit....and it turned out to be a great choice. From the friendly greeting to the beautiful setting, attentive service, and delicious food, there was nothing not to love. Usually we just eat and leave, but we ended up ordering a second bottle of wine and stayed to enjoy it in the laid-back atmosphere. Highly recommend this place and will certainly return. Fantastic service and food. The decor of the restaurant is high quality to match the food. The menu and wine list has something for everyone. I had the pie of the day followed by the Bakewell pudding, which due to the portion size of both courses was unwise. You will not go hungry in this place !! Service was exceptional considering the restrictions they have to work to. I have been fortunate to have eaten in some nice places and as a comparison I would put this on a par with Rules in London for quality of food and ambience but without the price tag

So glad to see that The Rutland has been taken over by The Coaching Inn Group, a company we have used many times in our breaks across the country. We couldn 't wait to try it after it opened when refurbishment and lockdown had taken place. Went for lunch on a Tuesday, so were able to try the Government Eat out to Help Out scheme. We thought we might sit outside, but after seeing the lovely interior decided to eat inside. We had a great lunch and considering it was very busy, didn 't have to wait a long time for our food. Where to start … we stumbled across this place when looking for breakfast on our first morning. Thrilled to find that it was also dog friendly in the lounge and bar area we had a really nice breakfast fruit juice, tea, cooked breakfast etc. That was lovely. Staff very attentive, brought our dog a water bowl and offered to get him some treats. The hotel seems to have been recently refurbished judging by the pictures on Trip Advisor which aren’t of the current decor it is done to a beautiful standard now.
