"Stayed recently on a two night walking break in the area. The place is absolutely fantastic, the staff are all friendly , professional and very helpful. The room was immaculate and the food at breakfast delicious. The cleanliness of the whole establishment is a credit to the staff, every area was spotless. Even the car park ! "We selected this pub for our family gathering to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. We traveled from Wales, Birmingham, Halifax, and Cheshire to come together. Our reservations had been made in advance, and the communication leading up to our visit was outstanding. On the day, we had a wonderful experience. The pub is fantastic, with exceptional service, a warm welcome, delicious food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch ales. We were all thrilled that we chose this venue for our reunion; it truly helped make the occasion feel special. We cannot express our gratitude enough."

"I visited Tideswell Lounge while out on a bike ride in the Peak District yesterday (02.08.2024). A lovely small village Bistro type place with a warm atmosphere inside and an excellent shaded seating area outside. Or if you're not fussy and want to take in the vibes of the village like me you can just sit on the wall. The selection of meals available was spot on. Personally I was in dire need of a piece of cake. I chose the Coffee Walnut, it was delicious. The place is pristine, quirky but trendy and modern set in an exceptionally beautiful old stone built town. The staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful. It's a family owned business with all hands on board. I was lucky enough to meet and talk to Andy the owner and his son. This wasn't a planned visit I was looking for somewhere to top up my water bottles and have a minute. I'm very glad I found the lounge. I can highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Especially cyclists for their coffee and cake top up! There's plenty of room outside to keep an eye on your pride and joy. 5 stars from me and I will definitely be going back."

"Lovely friendly hotel on good location. Staff were really helpful and accommodating at last minute short notice change we had to make and made what could have been something stressful really easy. The breakfast was plentiful, the accommodation clean and comfortable. Didn’t have evening meal there but menu looked good and if anything like the breakfast would have been perfectly done.
