we booked after lock down. place was disgusting nothing was clean especially during covid, they are only after your money. no customer service

My self and my team stayed there last night and the rooms were clean, also the food was out this world and the hospitality was 10/10 Highly recommend the place

Reception needs a bit of work but the rooms were clean and comfy. The beer garden is an excellent addition too. The food was excellent, the best curry we’ve had in a while. Thank you to the chef Martin. We would definitely eat there again if we were in the area Speisekarte ansehen

We were met at the door for our 6.30pm booking and informed they were not serving food because the chef had gone home! When asked why had they accepted my booking they denied knowing anything about our booking or the Opentable App. Disgusting behaviour, don’t waste your time here.

very poor, no staff on site. customers leaving as we arrived telling us not to bother going in as the staff were nowhere to be seen. we waited, attempted to find staff but there was no one around. the entrance to the hotel was grubby and poorly maintained Don't waste your time or money

I had a great time at lunch today, and had a fascinating conversation with the owner about the history and haunting of the restaurant. It is still a work in progress, but has definitely been updated since my last visit. The history of the restaurant is intriguing and it is a charming place to visit. Speisekarte ansehen

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was welcoming and friendly, the food was fantastic, and the rooms were comfortable. We will definitely return in the future. If you enjoy a delicious curry, this restaurant is a must-try. We are excited for our next visit. Thank you to Martin for making our stay memorable. Keep up the great work, guys. OMG...where do I start! This place should honestly be shut down. We were going to stay here for a 'spooky experience '! So pleased we were saved from spending the night here. Well to start with, nobody answers the phones, there are no staff about when you go in.You are left standing at the bar for ages. Customer service is atrocious. The atmosphere is horrendous. It is dirty and mould on walls and ceilings. There is water dripping from a hole in the ceiling also. The chairs and settees smell and the worst thing ever is the rat poisoning and rat traps behind the chairs. Please DO NOT enter this building. There is some serious health and safety issues with this place. Could not wait to get out...

DO NOT GET FLEECED BY THESE THIEVES. We were absolutely appalled last week after receiving our takeaway from the Spice Galleon at The Schooner Hotel in Alnmouth, Northumberland. We asked earlier in the day if they did takeaways and were told to go online for the menu and order by phone. I’ve listed the items as they were priced ‘online’ not on a printed leaflet that may be out of date). The total should have been £40.70, i had a drink while waiting so at £5 a pint should not have exceeded £45.70) but paying by card I didn’t check till we were eating it in our cottage and the bill stated £70.65!
