What a fantastic little find we ventured here after walking at Luds Church and we were not disappointed! We went in for lunch and were extremely impressed with the setting, service and menu. The jerk chicken was beautifully spiced and juicy, the pie of the day was well filled and delicious and the portions incredibly generous! Definitely one to visit. Price per person: £10–20

Went here on our trip to the Peak District. Great food at very respectable prices, with decent portions. Had fish and chips, sausage and mash and smash burger. The service was also very welcoming and attentive. Cosy pub if you’re looking for a nice meal. Dog friendly too!! Called in after a local hike and was very impressed with the food. The vegan red tai pie was absolutely delicious with chips and a lovely selection off fresh veg. The rest of my party were equally impressed with the steak and ale pie (fabulous pastry) and salmon (perfectly cooked). Pleasant friendly service, will definitely be back!
