Update: I had a Sunday roast today, and it was nothing short of excellent. It's always tough to compete with a home-cooked roast, but this one certainly did the trick. I can confidently say it was the best roast I've had in a long time, if not ever!

We visited the Ship for the first time tonight and we will definitely be going again. The service was way up and beyond any service I've received in years, Liv was totally brilliant and made such a great fuss over our dog us, that we felt moved. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive, making for a pleasant and efficient dining experience.

This is a beautiful place to unwind. The staff was helpful and friendly. Although the menu isn't extensive, the food they offer is truly delicious. They have a lovely outdoor garden for those who prefer to eat or drink in the fresh air, and the drink selection is quite decent. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it. The atmosphere was pleasant—just the right balance between lively and quiet. Overall, it was a great experience compared to other pubs in the area.

Popped into the Ship Inn to check out their festive roast dinner menu and were made to feel very welcome by staff. The barman told us that their food is restaurant standard food l,at pub prices. We ordered a two course meal which was absolutely fabulous. I must say that the dinner is the best turkey roast dinner i have ever eaten. The staff were very friendly and their service was outstanding. The atmosphere in the pub was very relaxing and I would recommend anyone to try their food and ales.

I ordered the veggie roast dinner. The potatoes and carrots were delicious, but I found the nut roast to be quite disappointing as it was very dense, and the broccoli was undercooked and too hard. The others in my group who had different roast dishes said their meals were okay but not impressive. For dessert, we had the same fruit crumble, which had a lovely crisp topping, but the fruit tasted more like jam and was excessively sweet. My dad requested warm custard with his crumble, while I wanted it cold. Unfortunately, both were served lukewarm. Given the prices, I expected a better overall experience.
