The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful. We were impressed by the generous portions. The locals were right in recommending this place. A standout was the orange slices at the end to cleanse the palate.

The naan was not good, the mint sauce tasted like plain yogurt, and the curries were thick like porridge. I was extremely disappointed with the experience. This was my first time visiting and I really enjoyed the curry we ordered. The service was excellent and the views were lovely. I would definitely go back or order takeaway and recommend this restaurant. Overall, I would rate the food and service as 5/5 and the atmosphere as 4/5. The service at this restaurant was awful. We were served after another table even though we had ordered first. The curry was barely edible, like eating gruel. We ended up leaving everything behind. It was definitely not worth the £95 we paid. I would not recommend this place. You're better off getting a better meal from a microwave. Service rating: 1, Atmosphere rating: 2. A warm welcome greets everyone whether eating in-house or buying a takeaway. The staff are attentive and welcoming and service is quite prompt. The restaurant is very pleasant and comfortable with views across the countryside. There is very good comprehensive Bangladeshi menu with other items for varied tastes eg vegetarian. All the dishes I have tried are delicious and well presented and very reasonably priced. There is a good selection of drinks both soft and alcoholic. A good test of their quality is that they are frequented by local people. I have been a regular for many years and heartily recommend the Spice of Bengal. Speisekarte ansehen
