"Kindness, patience and really good food and service. Pre-booked a quiet table so my family, including my dementia affected 77 yr old Father, could enjoy Sunday brunch and paint a bit of pottery beforehand. The service, the kindness, the humanity, was a treasured delight. Of course the pottery painting is fun too and our 7yr old daughter was matching her granddad brushstroke for brushstroke! The brie ham and onion relish toasted sandwich was delish (not my first time), Mums chicken caesar wrap was a triumph and everyone said what a truly delightful time we all had. We’ll done the team at Chameleon Cafe *applause*"

"This was our first visit for a takeaway not to eat in. We ordered via the app and collected. There was some confusion over the bread and we were in-fact given extra to what we had ordered. The servings were generous and the starters were good, but the mains were on the whole bland and under-seasoned with all of the lamb dishes chosen being very tough and gristly. To top it all my husband is still suffering a stomach upset 4 days after, something that hasn't happened before. We won't be visiting again."

"Me and my partner decided to have dinner here last night. Beautiful restaurant with first class service. Turkish food is one of my favorites and this place topped all the restaurants I've been to in the past. Highly recommend the mixed grill, perfection! "On first impressions the restaurant looks cute, like a small family run place. However the service, food and wine are severely lacking. We were made to feel bad for not liking wine we had asked to try, which made the rest of our experience feel very uncomfortable as our food wasn’t great at all Our meals were bland and underwhelming. My friend had seafood pasta which was obviously frozen and smelt strongly of fish but with 0 flavour. My calzone had tinned mushrooms in it, and just looked and tasted like a sad old lump of dough on my plate All in all for a meal for here felt like robbery. We wished we’d gone around the corner to Franco Manca it would have been delicious, fresh, and a much more relaxing dinning experience."

"We have lived in Dunmow for 25 years and have always visited this pub through its various ownerships. We had not been for a while, until after I had a life saving major heart operation last year and this was the first place we chose to go for breakfast when I came out of hospital. We have continued to go since then on a regular basis and it never fails to satisfy. We have always been served by Lorraine since the first day we went and she has been fantastic. Last weekend was a year since I had the operation and we chose to go back for a small family meal to celebrate the success of the day. Well what can I say, my wife had other ideas and with the help of Lorraine she organised a surprise gathering of family and friends in a cordoned off part of the marquee with buffet. What made it even more special was that they don't normally do a buffet on a Sunday as it is normally roast dinner only. After Lorraine explained to her manager the importance of the day she was more than happy to help make the day happen. For this I am really grateful, and despite not getting the steak dinner I thought I was having it was so much better. Thank you to everyone involved as I know the organisation for this on a day you would not normally do it would have been a challenge. We will continue to go for breakfast whenever we can and hope that Lorraine is always there."
