"Absolutely disgusting behaviour by bar staff, his behaviour was very caustic from the start. One of my friends commented to my colleague that he was unfriendly and wondering what his problem was. The barman said that if he wasn't happy he would give him a plastic glass. We walked out of an empty pub in winter where trade is so important and local as that . Never go there especially if that barman is on shift. What a plinker"

Visited for food on 15/07/23 while riding at Dyfi Bike Park for the weekend. The Pizzas were fantastic and having Beavertown beers on tap was brilliant! Can't wait to get back to Dyfi and head here again for evening meals! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Favourite pub in Dolgellau. Really friendly staff, good selection of well kept ales from keg and cask, and probably the most dog friendly pub I’ve visited. The food menu is small but perfectly formed with pizzas and other sundries freshly cooked from the wood fired oven out back. Also benefits from a sunny beer garden. What more could you want from a pub! Food: 5

"we have just returned from an excellent meal in the restaurant in caerwylan hotel. we booked it on the basis of tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. our eating was absolutely first advice. we would recommend the mango Prawn court and the terrine. as start the fish and the lamb main courses and the panna cotta as dessert; we would be very surprised if the other courts in the offer were not equally good. service was also very good. all employees were pleasant and efficient. we had coffee in the lounge with a fantastic view of the sea. it was our first day in criccieth so we can't compare it with other restaurants in the city, but it was a great start to our short high season in wales."

"First time I've eaten in this Dylan's restaurant, and as I've eaten in their Menai Bridge one several times I thought I'd give it a try. I booked for myself and my husband for 6pm. It was a Saturday night and the perfect time as not too busy and still light enough to catch the sunset and amazing views. The table at the window was fabulous too. The food was spot on as usual from Dylan's and the staff were all great. The only comments I would make really are that when I asked what the size diffence was between the small and large portions of risotto the waitress didn't have a clue! This is something that all staff should know really as they offer a lot of their dishes as small or large. Also, the service was very quick, too quick to be honest and we were done and dusted in an hour after having 3 courses and drinks! I would have preferred to have a slight break in between courses and at first they brought the starter and mains at the same time! That said, none of this would stop me from visiting here again and I will definitely recommend it to friends."

"We arrived early, so maybe that’s why we had to wait a while before we were asked for our order. It certainly wasn’t VERY busy. I ordered the fish cake as a starter, which was quite large and well presented. Perhaps could have done with a touch more seasoning to really bring out the flavours. My mains was the lamb, which was superb, possibly the best I’ve ever had, and came with plenty of veg. Husband had the pasta with mushrooms. I’d warned him that it might be a smallish plate, and he could be left feeling hungry, but how wrong was I. He had to leave some as he was full. Puds were good, and the wine was good value. Total bill was reasonable, and we left feeling we had had a great quality meal for a fair price. I only wish we had such a good restaurant near where we live. Well done, Poachers!"

"Lovely little pub in cricceth North Wales with a lovely atmosphere and the food was nice and filling after a walk on the beach. Tried the roast dinner and it was decent, felt the gravy was out of a tub, would have topped the meal off lovely with lovely a nice meat juice gravy. Kids ate southern fried chickens and beef burgers and had no complaints. Also the kids lasagne was nice with a Herby flavour. Sprouts were rock hard though and stuffing couldn't had a bit longer in the oven to give it a crispier edge. Would recommend and will go back .
