Amazing medieval style pub that has a decent selection of vegan options.

There aren't many places to get decent vegan food in the area so worth visiting if nearby. The Strands used to have a big vegan menu but has gone down to 3 options now for the mains chilli, a burger, and puttanesca pasta). The food is fairly standard pub food but at very high prices £18 for a main).

A nice old-fashioned pub Friendly staff And a few options for Vegan More for vegetarian and a few for gluten-free I had the Vegan Nachos no microwave cooked in the oven, very nice but would have done with a little more salsa. We both shared the onion Barji! The most beautiful thing I cost in a long time, very light and the Curry Pickle was amazing

If I could judge the court 5. 3 of us ordered this court and were completely blown away as good as it was. Definitely one of the best vegan Wellingtons I've had for a long time. It came with carrots, very small onions and braided cabbage. Too bad the engraving was not vegan, but I would order again and again and in fact I ordered the Wellington on my own after the main dish, because it was only SO good.

Stayed here with a small group of friends for a weekend away while we climbed Scafell Pike. Very close by to the mountain and perfect for what we needed. The food here is great and we could not get over the portion sizes (unless you have a big appetite, i would recommend requesting the lighter option). The owners are very accommodating and flexible. The rooms are a little dated but they had everything we needed and i would stay again.

This lovely pub/hotel had several vegan options all of which sounded amazing! I went here with my husband (also vegan) for starters I got the cauliflower bites which came with a delightful mint mayo dip my husband ordered onion bhajis which came with a tangy mango chutney and was also lovely! For our main, we both initially ordered banana blossom fish and chips but they only had enough for one portion so my husband ordered the vegan lasagna. Both mains were brilliant! They allow dogs inside and were so accommodating for our female dog who can be wary of strangers (training ongoing). Staff were so lovely,the atmosphere was nice and the beer even better! Will definitely make a return trip her...
