Fantastic choices of ale, staff are very friendly and the pizza is delicious. Thoroughly recommend, even if you're not an ale drinker.

There are not many vegan friendly places in Deal so this is an urgently needed café perfectly located a short walk from the beach and right on the main road. A few vegan options available and really delicious. Recommend the falafel and hummus wrap with their homemade pickled onions!

We visited in summer and were lucky enough to get an outdoor table (it is very popular so there was a queue at one point) and were super impressed. You have several vegan options (we had a Moving Mountains Burger and an incredibly beautiful hot dog) and interesting cocktails (I tried the Cherry Bakewell).

The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. [aka the pizza was banging]

I visited this place yesterday with my family (who are mid 20's along with my grandchildren), we were served and looked out for by a well mannered and approachable (named Dalton I believe), as well as a friendly and rather busy cook (sorryi do not recall her name). Throughout our visit we enjoyed the easy going and friendly environment as well as the marvellous food and service.... In short, thankyou....

We went to the Lane for breakfast and my husband ate his toast and said it tasted like normal butter. They had actually given him butter! He took it to the counter and they said sadly, they must have assumed that he had a regular breakfast! When we asked if they have no milkbread, they said no, so breakfast comes with hummus so that you can spread it on dry toast! How hard is it to keep a tub of flora in the refrigerator? Don't be back!

For the vegan burger (plant base Patty, BBQ sauce, vegan Mayo and cheese, picked Gherkins, roasted onions, tomatoes and salad in sesame seeds Bretzel rolls) with French frying. The patty was perfect, very juicy and moist. Gluten free rolls option is available. They offer a very nice selection of vegetarian dishes. The vegan options are a bit limited compared to the number of vegetarian meals (vegan: 1 starter, 1 main, 1 burger, 1 hot dog and 1 dessert option).

The Taphouse is one of our favourite places in Deal. It always has a couple of cask beers available plus an enviable range of key keg craft ales, but the piece de resistance are the pizzas. They are thin and crispy, like the very best Italian pizzas (if you 've had them in Italy you 'll know what I mean) and utterly delicious. The music is an eclectic selection from every period over the last 50/60 years, differing from visit to visit, and a live DJ at weekend evenings. But most important is the welcome you always get from mine hosts ; always a pleasurable experience.

Pizza Excellent Beer Excellent Atmosphere Excellent Music Excellent Staff Excellent What's not to love about this little gem of a place. We had a table of 8 on Good Friday. The place was buzzing. The staff were so welcoming we relaxed straight away. The choice and quality of the beers were amazing and when our food arrived we were not disappointed. The pizzas available were different in terms toppings that we have had before and worked really well. This place keeps it simple but does it with professionalism while keeping it fun and friendly. At the end of the night we were presented with a bill that was more than reasonable. Would highly recommend to anyone.
