A very pleasant end to a day pit with family. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent and very good value (special offer Friday fish and chips) Couldn't fault it.

Nice little find. The food was nice, as well as the staff. Lovely views from the outside seating area as well and wasn’t too busy for a warm Friday evening. Will certainly be back!

Lunch with family. Fixed price menu good value and food is very tasty. Our initial orders taken quickly but after that the service was very slow. We were going to order dessert, but we had already been there 2 hours and were losing the will to live!

what a nice experience was to eat here today. we arrived earlier than our booking, but welcome and sit in the bar area. the personal organized before our allocation a table so that we could sit. friendly staff, wonderful service and amazing fresh delicious food. will definitely return. Thank you.

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and offers a great value menu. Initially, the service was good, but it declined towards the end of our meal. We wanted to order desserts, but no one came to take our order, so we eventually gave up. Additionally, it took quite a while for someone to assist us with the bill. Speisekarte ansehen

I recently had my second stay at this wonderful small hotel. The quality of the room was outstanding: roomy, comfortable beds, a spacious en suite, and it was impeccably clean. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delightful, with excellent coffee, and I appreciated that they had milk, which I prefer. Overall, it was a fantastic value.

I took my mother here for an early Mother's Day treat, and we had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic, and considering the quality and portion sizes, it was a great value for money. The atmosphere was beautifully relaxed, and I would definitely recommend this place. I can only imagine how enjoyable it will be during warmer weather, especially sitting outside on the deck with a cold drink! The Friday fish special for £10 is definitely a highlight, and they also provide a stamp card to help you save money on future meals. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Update....we received an apology from the management team and decided to give it another go. Have to say, this morning, the service and food were fantastic. The Throckmorton is definitely back on our list of great places for breakfast. Been here many times. Food usually good but, had breakfast this morning was very poor. Bacon reheated, toast burnt, had to ask for glass of water 4 times before it came. Complained, waitress said would let chef know. No feedback from kitchen. Asked waitress if she'd said anything she said she had. Poor service. No apology. We're regular customers but will not come here for breakfast again. Speisekarte ansehen
