"Exceptional! The Arbury has always been an amazing culinary experience.On Valentines they hosted my Mums Celebration of life. Lucy and Martin were sensitive and accommodating providing an amazing afternoon tea and pink fizz for mum’s wake. They allowed us to take over the venue, putting pictures and memories of mum around the venue. Cakes, sandwiches and scones galore which were incredible. A personalised playlist of mums favourites tunes were also played.Quite simply Lucy and Martin made a difficult day extremely special, topped off with Martin making mum’s Anzac biscuits as a surprise. I highly recommend their restaurant for a lovely meal or to host a special event."

"I wanted to meet a friend from Essex, we were coming from Bicester, so I dropped a pin in the middle and then did a search for places to eat nearby and found The Cricketers. Had a quick scout of their website and decided it looked like a really lovely place to head for lunch and i certainly wasn’t wrong. The food was delicious, the service was spot on, nothing was rushed, nothing was too much and they were all so friendly, plus there were plenty of them. There was a lovely atmosphere and we all really enjoyed meeting up here. Thank you for being so welcoming and allowing us to just eat, chill and chat until it was time to go."

"My family and I (all 30 of us) had a celebration Sunday lunch today for my Mum’s 80th birthday. We had the most delicious food that was plentiful, served promptly and hot no mean feat when there are 30 hungry mouths to feed. All the staff were friendly, supportive and went over and above to be kind and helpful. A special mention to Alex and Kieran who were patient, supportive and kind when my cousin fell ill. We are all so very grateful for all that they did for us. We would most definitely recommend the G&D Graveley and will be back soon to sample some more of their delicious cuisine. Thank you for everything x Also a shout out goes to Mike (an off duty Police Officer) who is a regular he was outstanding with his offer of support and swift action to help us. Thank you x"

"So a couple of weeks ago we ordered a takeaway from Piato restaurant in Baldock. 3 chicken souvlaki, 12.95 each, so 38.85 in total. One of the chicken meals was undercooked with pink/blood running through, so could not be eaten. All 3 meals came with a salad in a box and all 3 salads were brown . Andy called the manager and was very respectful and pointed out how surprised we were as we have eaten many times at Piato's and have never had a bad meal. The manager said he was sorry and he will cook the chicken longer next time and he insisted that the brown on the salad was due to the dressing that was put on the salad. He told Andy he was sorry and when we next order, he will do something for us to make amends. Today Andy called to order 3 more meals and was told we could have a 10% discount 3.80. Andy said that that offer was ridiculous as one whole meal last time was inedible, the manager would then only offer 15% 5.82. Off the order. Andy was told that they were not offering any more than that. So we cancelled the order and will never eat in Piato's again. What a joke and such a shame what poor customer service from what we thought was a quality restaurant. Check your chicken folks!!!"

"We came for a special occasion and were a bit disappointed that Lussmans wasn't as good as we hoped. We had to wait 30mins for our table to be ready. I appreciate it was because the previous diners hasn't left and the staff kindly gave us a glass of wine on the house to make up for it. Once seated we ordered quickly (we were hungry! but didn't end up getting our mains until 90 minutes after we arrived at the restaurant. Mine (sole was delicious but my partner's (pork belly was uninspiring and a small portion. We didn't order pudding as it was nearly 10.30pm and we couldn't face another long wait. My partner needed a snack when we got home. Nice atmosphere though."
