The Victory - Speisekarte

Always love it in here. The staff are really friendly and the service is excellent. The food is always tasty when we eat here and the beer is well kept too.

Went for Sunday Lunch, ordered Beef which was thick cut and tough, could hardly cut it. The few vegetables served separately were undercooked and hard, won’t be going back!

Lovely visit to the Victory today great beer especially the Timothy Taylor, food (fab freshly made BLT and chunky chips) and super fast and friendly service very impressed with how the pub is looking, background music etc many thanks x Speisekarte ansehen

Food was good, and plenty of it. Service good. The only bug bear was the loud music, we found it hard to hold a conversation. We did ask to have it turned down, which they eventually did, but it was still difficult, for my mum of 89 to hear us talking.

I go to the victory often, the food is always top notch, they serve a good pint, the staff are super friendly and it's a canny little pub to sit, relax have a pint and a bit scran. It's also dog friendly so ticks all the box's for me. Keep up the good work Victory.

Sorry to say, lovely lady hosts, but sooo disappointed. We have eaten here before for sunday lunch and have enjoyed it but not today sadly, tinned carrots, cool veg and potatoes, beef? I can only think processed, the whole meal tepid. Will go for drinks but sorry no more Sunday lunch. Your roast beef used to be delicious. Clearly you must have changed supplies Speisekarte ansehen

Probably the best pork belly Sunday dinner I’ve had. Went as a family, there is only a Sunday dinner menu, and some fish options, which wasn’t the best for my daughter as she doesn’t like Sunday dinner and is allergic to fish. But the food is amazing! All fresh and cooked perfectly. I had the pork belly and it was perfect!! But the rest had chicken, beef and lamb and all were lovely! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

The kitchen lost the ticket so had to wait over an hour for main courses, when they eventually arrived the lasagna had barely any sauce. When I mentioned this there was no response. We were offered a free soft drink and desert. My objection is that 4 different staff saw us sitting waiting and not one asked even when they did realise there was still a long wait, it is a shame because this pub used to be really good and reasonably priced 4 mains and soft drinks £63 will probably not return.

I am a frequent visitor to The Victory but unfortunately on two occasions I've had to bring to the attention of staff the foul language of some of their customers, I myself had to approach four guys using very offensive language and ask them to consider other customers Staff and management really need to address this I have spent a lot of my career in catering and the licenced trade and I'm glad to say this would not be tolerated Come on Victory why let them lower the tone of what should be a pleasant place to be Speisekarte ansehen
