"The Vine is a lovely little pub/restaurant with a cosy, rustic feel décor to match. First thing I noticed at how busy the pub was and they seemed shorted staff which didn’t really impress me. The initial wait for drinks was quite long and for subsequent drinks orders as the staff weren’t particularly attentive and didn’t seem to care, possibly due to the busyness of the restaurant. Once seated, our waiter came over to take our drinks order. The drinks were on our table shortly after. This was great until we noticed the change in service once other members of our party had arrived. We had to call a member of staff over to allow us to order more drinks. The wait for food was over 30 minutes, however it was presently lovely with the rustic theme running through into the meals and the dining set. This was a beautiful touch. The lasagne was homely and filling, served piping hot and full of flavour. I wouldn’t say it was any different to something which is cooked at home by myself, however it was delicious non the less. The garlic bread which was served with this dish however was quite disappointing – as it very doughy and didn’t have much taste. I would have preferred traditional crunchy garlic bread. My friend ordered the prime beef burger with fries and it was delicious; The fries were perfectly cooked and the burger was also exquisite; Especially the burger relish sauce which quite reminded me of McDonald’s big mac sauce which everyone knows is good! The main meal certainly filled the gap and the portion was a good size for the price and the flavour as aforementioned was brilliant. We also ordered a pizza and I noticed other diners were given pizza cutters and I only had my fork and knife to cut my pizza, which was a struggle at times. The pizza was cooked to perfection, even though we did ask for extra cheese it was a standard measure of toppings. . You could tell the pizza was freshly cooked. The toilets were clean, compact, and meeting the basic needs. Plates and empty drinks were cleared so the table remained without unnecessary empties throughout the evening which was very good service, however when asking for the bill it appears neither the waitress nor management could understand the different between a gift card and voucher code. This made dealing with the bill quite awkward and would be something I recommend training on. The food was great! However the service didn’t quite match that quality of the food, I would still recommend however as I’m sure it was a one off. Overall it was a 7/10"

Pleasant surroundings with polite and welcoming staff. The food was excellent, towards the high end of the traditional pub food spectrum. Tasty well presented standard/medium sized portions.

I came to gammon today and was miserable they have taken away the jäger hühnerbacon to gammon and taken away the glaze .. still love this place but that was the only reason I came: meal was still beautiful, but please bring the glaze back!

Me and my partner had the 8oz Sirloin Steak and it was absolutely gorgeous and juicy. Best steak I have had out for a very long time, steak was done medium well and it didn't disappoint. For pudding I had the Crembul. Well worth the visit and money!!

A first time visit yesterday for Sunday lunch. 5 of us all had fantastic meals all 3 courses and a variety of dishes all cooked perfectly. We literally couldn't fault it. Generous portion sizes and really good value for money as you could tell the ingredients were quality sourced. In particular we valued the extensive choice of menu for a Sunday, with real variety and although some items were sold out by 2pm we only agreed this was due to high demand because it's so lovely!! 1 hiccup was that we waited a while for the sauce to arrive for the Steak, but we didn't mind as the restaurant was very full. The staff were great especially Francesca who literally couldn't do anymore for us. Can't wai...

"Been wanting to come here for a very long time after driving/walking past it, and my partner has wanted to come here since she’s moved here. Hand sanitizer upon arrival with track trace check in code. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and all very masks. The lady we had who served us throughout our time (apologise I forgot her name began with A I think), she couldn’t have been anymore helpful. With a very wide range of food, she told us everything on the menu was very nice as she has tried everything! The decor of the restaurant is what I’d expect in a typical Italian restaurant, very rustic and has a feel of being in Italy. To start I had the belly pork with Jack Daniels sauce, I’ve never tried belly pork and it was so tasty and very tender. My other half had the goats cheese in filo pastry which was also very nice. For mains, I had the Risotto con salsiccia (spicy sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, tomato and chilli). It was so nice I’m glad it was a big portion as I wanted more! I don’t think the sausage was spicy but overall I was very impressed. Other half had a cheese chicken mushroom calzone which was also nice. We had a nice bottle of white wine which absolutely complimented the whole meal. For dessert I had sorbet and other half had a deep fried cannoli once again both really nice. Reasonable priced meal for two people, and very highly recommended. Plenty parking and we will be back soon with our family. Very authentic home cooked Italian food and Cafe Casita is way better than some of these chain restaurants!!"
