The Waiting Room - Speisekarte

On a rainy Saturday morning this was the place to be. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. This will be the place to head for just over the road from the station.

The Waiting Room is a very relaxed, friendly place with delicious vegan food and good quality drinks. We visited at the beginning of July and all had the chicken bagel with sides and drinks. Speisekarte ansehen

Fantastic vegan comfort food. Chilled vibe, friendly atmosphere, lovely staff and yummy food Been here several times with vegans and non vegans and all have been totally delighted with the experience.

We love this place. Friendly staff, great coffee and excellent food! Only room for improvement would be how food is served lots of single use materials. This may be related to COVID perhaps but would be great to serve the food on plates rather than wrapped up.

Best cafe in the area, great food and coffee at affordable prices. Always meet my local tank fanatics to discuss the differences between Canadian and American models manufactured between the years 1919-1925 there. Also someone working there said they liked my t-shirt. Speisekarte ansehen

As a fully signed-up member of the meat eating community I can't get enough of the vegetarian Spicy Maiden bagel and would pick it above any other meaty food option locally. I'm not picking it as a vegetarian food option for ethical reasons, I'm picking it because it's ridiculously tasty. The new location a couple of doors down from the old shop is bigger which means you can actually get a seat most of the time. Coffee, as always, is great.

Super friendly service, excellent coffee, and the best playlists going on in the background. It’s my favourite place to meet my friends and then roam around Deptford and New Cross with coffee and snacks to last us the rest of the day. Hands down THE best hot dogs in all of London. I took this photo when I first found the place and I must have had a million Waiting Room hot dogs since then. There’s a limited menu at the moment but you can still get fabulous bagels and even vegan doughnuts!

If you are looking for that little quite spot to escape the hustle and bustle of central Deptford all you need do is head for the the waiting room and venture to the far end of the cafe. You’ll need to go past the suspicious looking long haired Aussie in the Kitchen. Hopefully by now you will have made it to the wonderful little garden out the back. p.s.
