Visiting mumbles for a-week booked on route down excellent Choice on menu. Food to high standard felt very safe eating here during covid . Great atmosphere and staff

Another lovely evening to add to the others we've had here recently. Over the last 6 months we've taken several family members to sit looking over Swansea Bay. And it's only a mile from home!

My grandsons ate off the adult meal as they wanted burgers and they were not on the children's menu. I had fish but there was so much greasy batter I had a job finding the fish, chips were nice which was the only good part of the meal. Speisekarte ansehen

Been here twice in the last week, Sunday lunch and then midweek lunch as part of our Welsh holiday. The service is excellent for this family run restaurant on the beach front in Mwmbwls. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I have ever had, and that is going some. Their chips are also fab, not good for our waist line.

Have been coming to the west cross for years but recently had food there and not sure if they’ve changed the chef or supplier but the cod used to be large and the batter seemed to be made fresh but now the fish seemed bought in and not as good as before, also other guests chicken was chewy. Staff though are as lovely and helpful as ever. We hope this comment helps as we love this place.

We really enjoyed our impromptu visit to The West Cross Inn. Arriving with our little dog, we were unable to sit inside but that meant we had to sit outside enjoying the beautiful view of the bay which was even better. It’s obvious that they take a lot of care over their service which was friendly and excellent, and the food was absolutely superb (and excellent value). The burger I had was so good (piled with bbq sauce, cheese and crispy onions) that I can’t wait to order it again. This place is well worth a stop for the food and the view. Called on Monday, about , 12.30. We were “greeted “ by a lady who sat just inside the door. We hadn’t booked and she made hard work of providing a table for us. She decided to lay a table for 2 alongside the bar, I felt like we were sitting in a passageway. There seemed to be plenty of tables available and we were requested a different one, she was not happy with this request and although she did agree to move us she told us that she would now lose a lot of money because the table was for 4 people. We booked the Westcross Inn for my partner's 70th birthday on the hottest day of the year! The venue was perfect just on the beach amazing views of the mumbles lighthouse and lifeboat station. The food was absolutely amazing guests commented on the quality of the fish dishes, the sticky chicken was amazing and every dietary requirement was catered for. In fact, guests who normally felt left out (vegan vegetarian, gluten free) really enjoyed the food on offer. The cheesecakes were to die for. Wine and champagne were great. What has happened! This was our go to for all family occasions! The food for many year’s absolutely amazing! The fish so fresh! Piping hot and always tasty. I am not sure what has changed? but sad to say the West-cross Inn will not be first choice for our family occasion. The staff were absolutely amazing and this is the only reason for my 4 star review. The food on the other hand to the contrary! Being a Chef with hospitality management I can tell you The fish is now a bought in product not freshly made! something you would find in the chest freezer in any superstore.
