What a charming little country pub! The food is delicious and fairly priced. The service was exceptional and incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to assist us. The location is beautiful. I highly recommend it!

All round amazing experience, would recommend every time. The food was one of the best roasts we have ever had and get the choice of chicken, lamb, beef or gammon. Not impressed with this pub, when I went there few years ago it was a lovely pub with lovely lunch menu where you can sit in the garden, I turned up today with some friends following online saying it was open and it said “closed for maintenance” which was very disappointing, I couldn’t see anything happening to the pub and didn’t notify when the pub will be open again!

This is a lovely pub. I went there for a drink and some food on a Friday evening. The landlady was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the pub has a relaxed atmosphere. The food was also quite good. We plan to visit again when the weather warms up a bit. My only suggestion would be to use a bit less raw onion as a garnish for the food and salads, as not everyone enjoys them and they can overshadow the flavor. Otherwise, an excellent experience!

We stopped for some food at this pub due to being in the area for the Leonardlees light show (which I also highly recommend) and the pub was an absolute gem of a find! Even if the food hadn't been as good as it was, I would still give 5 stars anyway for the exemplary customer service by the young gentleman serving us, he is a massive credit to employers and really made us feel welcome. The food was great and generously portioned, and we were sat right by the cosy fire. The pub was vegan friendly, family friendly, dog friendly and the food was delicious! A well deserved 5 stars all round, we will definitely return another time. Speisekarte ansehen
